Blade posted earlier, this event will be more casual, no mag and ammo limitations.

Team B.I.C. will consider coming, we need more info before we can give a diffenant though.
I asked about medic rules and my post got deleted... strange.
So I will ask again... will there be the use of medics or not? Need to know what to prepare.

Something that needs to noted as well is team recognition. I'm sorry if it has been answered in the previous thread attempt, but will there be armbands or will camo pattern determine teams. If it is the latter i need to change my pattern to match my team(woodland).
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers - :)

It will be a fun game. Organized more around team work than actual mag/ammo limitation.

It is indeed, not part of Blind Fury sequel.
Team B.I.C. will consider coming, we need more info before we can give a diffenant though.
Details will be posted this weekend. Although, there is not much to say beside that if you want to play with your own squad, it might be a good occasion. The number of players coming will decide how the players will be divided.
will there be the use of medics or not?
I'd like to keep the medic role active for this event.
but will there be armbands or will camo pattern determine teams?
I will not have any armbands, although, I will do my best to divide the team depending on their BDU pattern.
We will run quick missions (30min to 90min max) and yes, we will have a lunch break since we would like the squad/teams to have a chance to debrief and work on what has to be corrected within their team.

Will lunch be provided, or is it just a break time to eat our own food?

I checked the site today (sun) and didn't realy see anything new, nothing about how it was going to be or what the scenario is...
strikers_blade
04-03-2005, 09:32 AM
Chapman,
I will put all the details up but again, this event is not scenario based. It is pretty much a fun game, scenario will be decided on site, as well as ROE. Don't worry, you will be busy all day as I have no intention to keep people at the staging area for too long.

That is the best news that can heard for these kind of games!:D
EDIT - I can't remeber, are grills allowed if we keep them by our cars in the parking lot? I know Wallace had one for his game.

D-Boy, yes, it will be a fun game like Wallace do, but that doesn't mean you cannot get your team all together and practice a little ;)
Dante, Well, as players always want to be easily IDed, we will have no choice but to split the team by BDU...unless players start to say they do not care about BDU difference ;)
Scorpion, Grills are allowed as long as under control.
NOW A BIG NOTE: Guns above 550fps (sniper) will not be allowed. Sorry for the error on www.airsoftevents.com .

There will be no 600fps weapons allowed in the field. It was a Typo error from my part.

Hey guys...inimicus here. No one here probably remembers me however I did manage to attend Fran Bar September 25th I believe of last year (met P90Killer, Cigar, John, his girl, Dark Obliv, Prose, gawked at GreaseMan's 249, met Mojave, a few more iP guys as well as a few DNA aka DHG and DeadBoyz players). Those of you there might remember me as the only guy there with 6 color desert and a G36C suppressed packin a silver Ruger MKII as a sidearm and playin as the only non-iP member on iP's team for the most part of the day (curteosy of intelligence Plot). Anyway, I've been out of the game for awhile but I think I'm gonna make a cameo at OP:CS this weekend. I've missed out on a lot and also just now (2 minutes ago) found out about this so please pardon my ignorance but will there be any onsite vendors such as Francois? I hope to enroll as a guest participant of Team Phalanx borrowing gear and the like (since I've long since gotten rid of mine) however I still need BBs. Also, if anyone wants to go out on a limb and rent me out a sidearm I'd be ever so grateful. Web gear as well. My desperate cries probably reek of that rancid, putrid newb smell (lol j/k) but I assure you anyone willing to extend a hand of curteosy will be rewarded with a fatter wallet and I'll be sure to take care of your stuff (6 year veteran if you please :D). Let me know if you're willing to help a brother out. Thank you for your time.

Ok I have two questions if anyone can answer them.
1) Is Registaration at Springfield or is there an online waiver we can print off?...it said 7am to 9am I just want to be on the safe side.
2) Will the Weather (its supposed to rain) effect our fun? I just don't want to drive 2 hours and get turned down because of some rain. If you could answer any of those questions that would be great. Thanks.
strikers_blade
04-21-2005, 09:49 PM
Cullen,
1) print the waiver and bring it to the field.
2) the game will go on, rain or not. Now it is up to you to know if you will have fun with the rain (if any) or not. I personally do not have any problem with it and I know for sure I will have a lot of fun ;)

There is no real landmark down there beside a long drive way between 2 corn fields. If you are coming from Enon, this is the 2nd entry on the left I think....Just make sure to have the street address with you ;)

blade!! i would have come up there if i had thought you were still going to let people play. i really wanted to play in that crappy weather. you shouldnt have said it was cancelled because it sounds like it really wasnt and you just made me think it was and so i didnt go...
For my first event ever it couldnt have been worse weather but it was still a blast. The things that stick out in my mind the most:
1) I only ever actually "saw" 1 bad guy in 3 games, but was still killed 3x
2) a full-length green parka (tarp with a hood) is great at keeping the rain off you but not the best when trying to duck and run. I tripped myself up 2x and nearly did a chimp-flip headfirst into a mud puddle.
3) ive got ALOT to learn about this great game

Despite the rain/snow/sleet/cold/mud/frozen fingers and toes, that was one of the most fun events I've been to. Thanks Blade, and all at the event. I guess the reason I liked it so much, is that the rain and mud kinda added a really exiting feeling to the area we were in. And you can stay alive longer if you split off into a three man unit, and set up hillarious ambushes easier. Also, having a tent is nice in cold wet weather. But next event like that, I'll remember to bring warmer gloves and more socks, my fingers could hardly pull the trigger because it was so cold. But other than that, it was one hell of a good time.
