I'll see if Dan would be up to that. If not, how about a Saturday Outdoor game. Check with Mike(Crosswire3). We've been kicking around having games out at the "Property".

Ya, just about any weekend except for before 1am on a Saturday. Sidd and I just went out there today and shot the crap. We had fun...my new pellet gun and his armamant of the G36 and the two WAs. Anyone wanting to come check it out just let me know...we're out there everyday this week and probably the weekend as well.

Some of us who would like to attend just can't because of the rules. :(

CRL...This saturday? ...and Foxtrot...what rules?

Fox
04-01-2005, 09:59 PM
2, 3, 5, 6, and 11.

2: Some of my guns can't take a barrel jam. M60 - LRB system, SVD, Flash hider, etc.

3: Don't have a case big enough for my m60, and I have yet to find a Pelica M60 case, since they quit making them some time ago.

5: Only have 1 gun under 350 FPS, and it's currently disassembled waiting for a part - nor am I very fond of it.

6: Normally just wear wiley x's or goggles - no full mask.

11: I'm a support gunner... We dont aim, we just fire and keep people's heads down.

'bout it. Rest are cool

Fox - About some of those rules

The barrel rule, they do make one for the 60, and any large paintball blocker will work, I've seen some paintball "barrel condoms" made upto 5 and a 1/2 feet in length for specialty guns. I think there only $10, I'll try and find ya a good net example.

The case issue: You don't have a large bag (hockey golf any type) that will merely cover your gun for the purpose to hide it's true looks, I think that rule is just not to alarm other parking lot attendants sesne there is a bowlign alley next door.

The 350 FPS rule, I hear ya on that one.

I wear only PB googles and a balaclava, so I think you'd be ok.

And support gunner, I think you'd be ok, espically if we goto the outdoor field.

Any more questions just ask.

Fox

Not really worried about the plug - heck, I'll duct tape a peice of sheet metal over it if need be.

Case: Wrap it in something if need be, or just put it back in it's orignal box. (trying to save it since it is from 1989. Bit of a collectors thing with the whole box and all.)

350 well, 350.

Balaclava - dont wear one, never found one comfortable and/or breathable. Never had a place that required one, even CQB (Irene II and such.)
All my goggles are very much approved though, above and beyond standards. (Willey X's ANSI/MIL approved, ESS ANSI/Mil approved, BOLLE 800XT ANSI/MIL approved.)

Indoors these might be issues, but if we do play out at my property we'll be pretty lax on these rules. Of course common sense must be used, but we are here to play, not to discourage. As long as your gun doesn't kill people you should be fine, and no case is needed however it's reccomended that you cover it in your car. I also tried wearing Wiley Xs until a friend broke them...but they are ok if you ask me. One reminder...if we do play out at my place it will be required that you sign a NO LIABILITY waiver...but most of you are cool and would realize what happens is under your control...not mine.

Foxtrot...by the way, what part do you need? I tend to keep many gearbox parts laying around.

Fox
04-01-2005, 11:14 PM
Of course - a waiver goes with anything, from airsoft to 4 wheelers.

I have the part, its just that G&P metal bodies = pain to put back togeather and I've been too busy (finals coming up @ kent) to put it back togeather really, plus I have other guns I want to toy with. Just got my Asahi M60 back, and planning on doing some selling/trading and getting a G&G M14 here soon too.

Foxtrot,

About that 350fps rule... the place we play in is way too tight for anything over that. It’s basically CQB with some long shots but not very many due to the amount of barriers that have went up recently. Anything over 350 is way too fast for 10-15 ft shots and I personally don’t want to get the crap pegged out of me by anything over at that close of range...

Fox
04-02-2005, 01:00 AM
Wasn't trying to say the rule was a bad thing :) Just saying it kills me because my only under 350 gun is down right now, till I get a chance to fix it.. which isn't going to be this weekend. 2 papers due and an exam :\

I've had my fair share of close shots, Irene II was 400 FPS, semi auto in doors. That kinda hurts when one bounces off you're neck :)

Sidd

Foxtrot, I can sympathize how yoiu feel about the 350fps rule. Before i sent my g36c off the get fixed it was firing at like 340 and now after Francois restored it, it fires a constant 380+ fps and has a monster ROF. Now I cant use it there. I mean I too have a AEG that fires with in the limit but the MP5K is a bit in accurate till I drop the longer barrel in it. So I have just been playing with my WA Xcelerators LOL not effective at all, I've only got like one kill with them but I have fun. If you want to come and try to play with the MP5K you are more than welcome just know all i have is lowcaps.

On the note of Mike's "property" its really awesome out there. and actually not that hard to find its just out in the middle of BFE lol. Too bad I had to go and destroy the outer barrel for my G36c trying to get the silencer off. I dunno if it will be fixable or if I will have to replace it. I cant beleive the metal outer barrel was held by a cheap peice of plastic. Silly TM what were you thinking.

Foxtrot,

We'd love to have you guys out. I understand we put some heavy limitations on. 350, case, barrel blockers, full face coverage. Believe me I sympathize.

We can manage everything but that 350 rule and the face coverage. If you can get the gun to fire under 365 we're okay with that. D_Mans gun was firing a hair over 360 and we we're fine with that.

The reason we have to have the face coverage is for insurance reasons. The owners insurance requires it. It's a bummer I know. The balaclava it one hot, non breathable b*tch. I liked John's(HNIC) solution the best. He tied a bandanna around this face...it looked wild.

With all that said we'd still love to have you out sometime. I can't wait to see that M14. My dream gun. I want to get one and retro a surplus walnut stock. I found a great site for cheap stocks. let me know if you want the address.

Later,

Dan

Stupid question, would it be to much of a pain for a new guy in airsoft to come play with only a NBB hand gun? I've got an AEG, PSG-1 to be exact, but it's longer then the whole playing feild indoors, fires 500fps and stripped it's gears. I've never been to a real game before, but am really looking forward to it. Hope no one minds a young "noob" tagging along.:D

untouchable53
04-05-2005, 06:19 AM
Duo,

You're more than welcome to come. If you wanted to bring your PSG1 and let us take a look at it that would be fine as well. Do you know that gears area stripped?

As far as the NBB that's fine. Some of us have extra guns and are willing to let others use them. I sure that you won't have to use a pistol the whole night.

You can wear whatever clothes you feel comfortable with. This isn't milsim. Just a bunch of guys that enjoy getting together to play.

It's $7.50 for field fees and if you need BB's or gas they're available at a great price.

Hope to see you on the 19th. If you have any friends that are interested in airsoft, bring them along. If they want to play make sur ethat they bring money for field fees. Don't forget if anyone is under 18 make sur ethey go to www.intensepaintball.net (http://www.intensepaintball.net) and sign a waiver.

See you there.

:) Thanks, Dan! Begining to see the truth in the claims about airsoft players being damn nice people. I'll be sure to bring my rifle if I can find a case big enough, and The Q said it sounds like the lead gear that's bad... I've never been into an RC car, let alone my rifles gear box, so I couldn't really tell you. As for friends, I have three buds who are saving for their guns. I'll see if I can drag them along.

Myself and another guy from STAT are thinking about coming down. However, neither of us have the "barrel blockers" for our guns. We both threw them out with the rest of the trash when we got our guns :D . Would a cheap substitute be acceptable (sock, etc.)
Also, has anyone ever thought of (like foxtrot mentioned was used at Irene) making the limit 400 fps and just making it semi-auto? I'd much rather be hit by one bb going 390 then by 10 going 345. But that's just me (and my m15 shot 382 at rising city, hehe.)

What kinds of scenarios do you guys go through? Anything elaborate or just like deathmatch and capture the flag/base/hostage whatever. I'm down either way, just wondering.

Is this place easy to find? I've only been to Canton once and I have no idea where anything is there, but if I mapquest it it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks

D_Man

Mapquest will put you across the street :)

Use the mapquest directions, then look around for a Wal Mart, the paintball place is next to the Wal Mart, thats how I best remember it.

Tony,

For me a sock would be fine. I will check with the owner. We'll work something out with.

I wish I could be more leanient with the FPS rule. Even with 365 we are over the AO General Rules. I have had situations where I can reach out and touch the other persons barrel. These engagement distances are just too tight for higher FPS's.

Don't get me wrong, I love having powerful guns. I think the hightens the realism of the game. We're just trying to respect the fine line between realism and saftey. If you can get the gun shooting at or under 365 - no problem.

Ok...this may be a solution. We can create scenerios for the higher guns. Last time Sidd (Shooting 380-390) and I had a couple of "Full Court" games. Perhaps we can set something up where we can set boundries to ensure the 25-50ft MED's. I would still recommend having at least one gun that shoots under 365 so you can be in every game.

If you have any questions feel free to call me. (330) 418-9634

What if you made it pistols only, I think that would be fun running around with pistols. Springers or even gas would be fun inside a building like that.. Just a thought..... :D

theblackfox
04-06-2005, 04:19 PM
we've had springer games before but a lot of us dont have springers or even gas guns for that matter, so we do those type games as "inbetweeners" when people are reloading, or taking a break.

I just looked at some of the pictures of the field on the intensepaintball.net site. Is what is pictured all that the indoor field consists of? All I saw is a bunch of 45 gallon barrels, sewer piping, and speedball barriers stacked for cover. While I'm sure this would be great for some quick run and gun deathmatch games, I'm having a hard time justifying driving two hours for that when I have a paintball field 5 minutes from my house with the same thing. If there is more than is pictured and it's some cool stuff, I'm still down to make the trip. But from what I've seen so far it's no dice  Anyway, any help from somebody that knows this field would be greatly appreciated.

Crosswire3
04-10-2005, 04:08 PM
While it is great fun...you are partly correct. I could see how a 2 hour drive might be a bit much for a few hours of non-scenario speed play. However, we do have a great time out there and would greatly appreciate your company.

I will definitly show up if my M16a3 comes in, if not i might just show up to talk for a bit since neither of my WAs are working and my only AEG right now shoots way above the FPS limit. lol Though if it does come in I will have a M100 spring i can put in my G36c with the 5000rd boxmag.lol

Sidd,

Bring the G36. We may try a few new scenerios. We'll have to set up boundries for higher fps guns. We'll see how everyone takes to that. If I can fix my M15, it keeps double firing, I'll bring it. I put the new spring in it. It should be up around 425.

Thanks to all who came out tonight. We played a ton of games. Dan has left the ball in our court as to when the next indoor game should be. I was thinking in 3-4 weeks. That would be May 10th or the 17th. I'm sure Jared will be in no condition to play on the 10th(May 9th he'll be celebrating his 21st). So that leaves us with the 17th. Any thoughts?

Also if you want to go to the game at Fran Bar on the 21st please sign up.

Fran Bar really isnt that long of a drive. I visited my friend near OSU last week and I cleared it from akron in like 2 hours and traffic wasnt the greatest. I think we should get some sort of carpool together. In my grand am I can get one or two other people along with out gear.

I will definitly have my boxmag motorized by then and possibly have the longer handgrip.

As far as the next indoor game, i dunno i would almost prefer to be playing oustide witht he nice weather.

Dan and Duo Chan, how did you guys like rushing the machinegunner?lol I seemed to do better with firing semi than just hosing.

Duo Chan
04-20-2005, 01:16 PM
Sidd,

I'll seriously consider the game at Fran Bar. I always thought it took longer to get down to that area... :D As for car pooling, my camaro is a match box in wheels. I could only fit one other player and our gear into my car comfortably, maybe two if we cram. But with any luck my seats will be filled with a couple of my buds.

I would enjoy trying an outside game, also. See if I can handle the sun.

 Dude, that G36 of yours is an LMG of impending doom. I fear the motorized boxmag if you get it going.
