Alright I have what I believe to be a Classic Army gearbox but Im not sure. I was wondering if anyone who has a CA knows if they come stock with what looks to be 6mm copper bushings. Is that what comes standard in CA gearboxes? I was told that the gun is a stock CA but it also looks like it could be an upgraded TM MP5A3. If anyone could clarify this, that would be great Thanks.

my CA 33e didnt have copper bushings when i got it, so..... your gun is probobly upgraded. but your gun could be older, and those may be what they used at that time.

Oh yea. I forgot, the gearbox is a version 2. The gears also look like they are reinforced because I compared them to a TM set of gears and they look more heavy duty. The reason Im asking if its CA is because I am thinking about upgrading my gun with a PDI 170% and Im pretty sure Im set because all it says you need on the spring upgrading chart is reinforced gears. And also would I need a metal spring guide if I put in a 170%?

since your gear box is CA it should have a metal spring guide in it, it might or might not be able to handle the stress, getting an extra spring guide that is reinforced may be a good idea in case the stock one breaks. you also may want to get other reinforced parts for your gearbox, like a selector plate, tappet plate,ETC.

it could be an Airsoft Elite/ICS MP5 box, they come with brass bushings
CA comes stock with 6mm oily steel bushings, or 7mm bearings...never stock with brass.
