ok... a this weekend me and a few friends are wanting to play a decent sized game, well more like a few games, in the woods near my house... im not sure of the acreage(sp?) (maybe there is a website to find it out, dunno)

the borders on one side is an apartment complex (dense brush blocking path of bbs so dont worry) on the other side is a restraunt set up about twenty feet (so again dont worry) and on either side is a highway (with dense brush) and a lake... in the middle is a dried up creek bed that runs from the apartments to the restraunt, elbow and runs away from the highway, parelell to the restraunt about fifty feet away....

what i was thinking is making one interconnecting storyline...

first have a just a regualr A vs B battle to get things started... then have an infiltration/POW rescue...
after that maybe a downed pilot or something...

then maybe a bomb defusal type deal... where Team A is given a vague map and has to find several shoe boxes or tupperware bowls in the woods... then one man and only one man (the demo expert of the team) will "defuse the bomb"
im sorta stuck on this idea... i was thinking of how to do this and pulled a blank... one idea i had though was to have a mouse trap inside and rig something up to have to dissable it... not just the way you normally would "disable" a mouse trap but something different...

then i was going to have a type of tank destroy mission then a final battle... i just need some quick and easy ideas.... thanks...

Is it a good idea to play where civilians could see you?

A better question is, is it legal?

If you are inside city limits, it is most likely illegal.

there is enough brush to hide us from veiw of civilians... from twenty feet into the woods its kinda difficult to see most of the cars on the highway... and from the outside you cant really see in because of the drop...

as for legality... eh... does it count if several police officers that i talked to said that if we are quite about it, dont hit houses, cars or people and keep the place clean (not littering) we should be able to play with out trouble... actually one of the officers was asking us about where to play cause his nephew or something was wanting to start...

in your opinion would playing there be safe? (legal wise)
what with the brush, ten foot drop by the highway, twenty foot by the restraunt, and like i said, approval from several officers...

Well. As for legality, I've been called in by old folks and random civilians to the cops for "terrorism" in the streets which seems absurd to me. They basically just said to keep the "weapon's" hidden and out of sight untill you come to your operations site, which needs to be hidden and out of sight, and so civilians don't get shot. As for a scenario, well:
My team SPECFOR is holding seasonal campaigns for the winter/summerd depending on opposing teams available and what type of land forms you have to work with. this winter, we have dried creek beds, a huge sniping hill with good foxhole covor, and around 5-10 acres to work with. We will just be skirmishing, probably 5 on 5, and in a role play manner. It's kinda like an MMORPG. It follows a set story, battles spring up according to what people do. The story twists and changes varying on what you do in battle. in example: Say your busy taking out a radio tower, and one of your "helicopters" get shot down in battle. the next battle will be to rescue your downed heli pilot.
Have your team (if you have a team) or your friends make up a campaign (WWIII??) and play by it, changing the story as you play. Its quite fun and it works hella lot better than seperate random battles. You could also play by famous war battles or campaigns Example: World War II (Battle of the bulge, D-Day), or Battle of the Black Sea (Bakara Market). -Ghoul out-

Well if you have the Law Enforcement OK about doing it, then you should be set. But you have to follow what they said about not shooting houses and cars very closely or you'll never be playing there again.

It is a good thing if you get on the good side of the Police, that way they know a little more about what you are doing, and better yet, you have their permission, so you should be set.

Just use very good fire discipline

hmm, well no offense I've had my run with the law once thanks to airsoft and civilians and don't want a repeat. Thus i stay in the county or in places like acoclub.com own.
