Hey, As you all can tell, I'm new to the AO forums but of course not new to vB forums. I don't like just signing up and begin posting .. it makes me look like a noob, especially since I don't know very much about Airsoft since I just got one but I am learning:) . Anyways, the best way I see people start to feel "at home" on forums they are new to, is a board called Newbie Check-In or something along those lines where they can post a little about themselves so members begin to know about them besides just another 'noob' face on the forum. I picked AO to sign-up cuz it is one of the more active forums and I like reading what you guys have to say.

Welcome,

Feel free to jump right in, the only thing we ask is you read the FAQs on the right, and search for answers to your questions before you post them.

Thanks Locutus. I know I won't be as well known as almost everyone here since I live all the way over in New York so I can't attend any of the events. And of course, I can't find any events or fields around me either. I kinda scimmed through the Newbie F.A.Q, I didn't want to read all of the airsoft Newbie questions, but I will read them first if I ever have a problem with my TM M4A1 w/ G&P Metal Body, and then turn to you guys for help.

Thanks for the Welcome,
~GP

My parents grew up in your town. I actually had to sit down with my dad for about 2 hours while he showed me satelite images of the place.

Welcome to the forums. I know for a fact there are places to play in New York. More towards New York City, which is like an hour, 2 hours from you?

Yeah, where I live is a very populated place. Well, I don't know if it's very populated but there aren't many trees around here. Yes, it is about 2 hours away from me, I know events take place 3 hours away from me but of course, thats a long drive for me just for a few hours of airsoft. As much as I like MilSim's, spending 6 hours total in a car and wasting all that gas money just aint worth it you know? I am hoping I could find a field sometime soon around here.
