this might take some time to explain... team does recon on a specific location (ei highway) making notes about it... after a certain amout of time(ei two days) of makeshift camping and reconing, team a is to report... while this is happening team B is tracking and trying to makesure team A is not doing recon... comes from the SAS fighting techniques handbook... it was fun... thought you might like the basic idea... if you want specific details just ask me...

so what are you saying team A recons a place, while team B tracks them down trying to kill them
so two days of team A making camps, doing recon and hiding from team B
also team A deosn't want to fight team B so they have to be stealthy and get around them

was this scenario actually fun?
i really cant see myself doing recon for 2 days and not actually shooting someone.
i dont know this scenario doesint seem fun to me.

it all matters if the tracking team finds you then there will be shooting
how about several targets and maps so the tracking team might capture someone get the map of the targets and if the playing area is that big they'll have an idea of where they might be

nice touch.... but the whole not being shot at thing... if you have good enough trackers like we had, you get into fire fights often and we had some claymore type deals set up so it was pretty fun.... maybe it was just us... i dunoo....

well it was aboot either 5.6 or 6.5 acres...one of the three.... but we also added one more thing... two tracking teams.... also the area was pretty well know amogst the playres so...yeah....

Let me get this straight...you had two teams out for 2 days on a 5 - 7 acre playing field? What were they, midget chameleons? Invisible? Blind-folded?
I personally LIKE the idea, but I'm wondering how you managed it on such a small parcel of land!

i'd prefer smaller areas like that where we train is big and when we do recon missions it's hard as hell to find anyone
the smaller area means two things more skill to avoid the tracking team and more fighting.

My point is 5-7 acres is freaking TINY for something like airsoft.
Unless you're doing CQB.

i guess it matters on how many poeple you play with. and what what kind of poeple they are.

Well, my home is situated on a 5.5 acre parcel. Going by the surveyor stakes, I'd say a group of teens with springers would have a hard time making a "recon" game last an hour, let alone all day, on that much land.
I agree a huge area (like the 200+ I have access to) would be be a bear to have a game of "8 vs 2 recon", but if you're talking say 20 vs 5 or something, that'd be a bit more realistic for a good, lengthy (possibly overnight) game.

well that would be fun, but I have no interest in a 2day long venture with no real big interests. The longest games that I enjoy playing nonstop are 24hour games. So maybe if I made this like a 1 or 2 hour recon then it would work with my friends.
