I have a G3 vairant with a rail that mesures 155mm long,22mm wide and 6.5mm thick screwed onto the fore grip. Would it be possible to mount the G3/SG1's bipod via one of the screws that holds the rail in place?
______I_______-fore grip
______I_______-bipod bracket
______I_______-Rail
I- screw

You could I suppose, if you had a screw long enough. I've always been weary of putting a rail on the bottom of my foregrip but if I did I was going to put a much better bipod on the thing. The bipod might put alot of stress on the screw holding it in though as all force is being put onto that one screw unlike how it is mounted in the foregrip.
If this is unclear to you just say so and I'll try to make myself better to understand. Otherwise I hope I helped ya at least a little.

No its not possible.
If you take off the original foregrip you will see that the base of the bipod (the part that allows the legs to swivel back and forth) is actually attached to the foregrip. In fact it is this part of the bipod which attaches the foregrip to the gun via a horizontal screw.
You can place another bipod on your rail and simply remove the origional bipod legs if you wanted to, but you can't simply move the stock bipod under the new rail.
There are rail kits which basically replace the entire foregrip and yes do they look NICE!*
*The G&G Rail Kit is more expensive but allows you to keep your existing bipod where it is.
*The G& P Rail Kit is less expensive (and I think alot Nicer) but you lose the old bipod alltogether and have to buy a new bipod plus bipod attachment.
