New Forum Subject

Maybe this isn't a gtood idea but here it goes.......
On alot of other forums about other things that i have been on ther is a section were people can go to blow off steam and say whatever they want. It seams to work pretty well since people who want to swear and rant and rave about random things can go there and do that without any fear of being blackballed. People could go there and just talk about random things that have nothing to do with airsoft and the thread wouldn't be deleted. It would keep trash out of other threads and probably bring more traffic and activity to the site. Thanks alot of listening.

So how about increasing the amount of memory. Who ever is incharge of the web server should calculate the cost of adding more memory to the server. I don't know about other people but I would deffinitialy be willing to chip in a little to help the site out. I think if everyone chipped in a few bucks the site could benifit a lot, and thats not such a bad thing, is it?

I dont think thats the problem, yes thats one of his reasons, but over all there is no real purpose on AO for an offtopic area. If you want an off topic area, as many stated before (There were about 9 threads for off topic areas and the general answer is as fallowed) go to a general discussion board other then AO, or go to a place like airsoft players, arnies airsoft, or airsoft retreat.

Would I mind donating money to keep this site up? Not at all, how much?


Anyways Not my choice, I just post here and attend AO events.

Good point Foxtrot, maybe a off topic forum isn't the best idea but i still say think that having people chip in to help out in monthly costs isn't a bad idea. Does anyone know how to contribute money to the site?

There is no way really as of no, that I know of. It's an idea, but it's up to the site admin over all, not me. I wish the OLD AO (I.e. Camo) was still around... I liked that style alot. But, all well, not my choice really, AO has broken up alot since then. HALO started, TRAPT has started, OVMB has always been around, but not associated as closely as they used to be, plus now alot of Ohio events are moving into the realm of having there own rules. (i.e. Op. Blind Fury) Instead of when it was when I first joined. It was either an AO event, or it wasn't.

So who knows the future of AO, where it will go, or how it will do it. As for donations... it's an idea, it might help. I have no idea how much it costs to host this site, nor how many people would be willing to donate.

I my self would like to see a few chances. 1. An off topic forum 2. A pure sales area, like old, a classified section, instead of the auctions. Auctions is a good idea, but not the best in the world since most of us just want to get rid of our gun, for a certian price.
