I guess this is in a way a mechbox question, but I was wondering if it is possible to obtain a solid consistancy in an FPS chronograph.

I've heard stories of this guy getting his AUG chrono'd at Airsoft Hawaii and it was shooting a consistant 400 FPS everytime.

Any idea's on how to upgrade your FPS to the dot?

Nothing is exact. You could perform as many upgrades as you wanted, and the fps would still not be totally consistent.

The reason being each time the gun is fired, outside, inside, and other attributes which just can not be controlled affect the bb fps. Even the smallest amount of debree in the barrel(which is invisible to the human eye) can effect the fps.

However, if you would like to obtain a near conbsistent fps(5-10) fps difference btween shots. The best thing to do would be to install a tightbore barrel, better cylinder set, and clean the barrel often. That would be my opinion on the topic, and resonable answer. ;)

But it was exact and consistent each time. 400 FPS ten times in a row chronoed. The reason I wanted to find out was because our field here in hawaii allows 400 FPS as the maximum velocity and I want my gun tuned perfectly.
