Hi,
I was looking into getting one of the new Xcelerators with the red magwell and trigger:
But I had a few worries about upgrading to a metal slide.
On Arnies Airsoft they have an article about installing metal slides on Infinities, and it says this:
"As standard, the WA guns that come with ABS slides, have the restricted blowback unit fitted to restrict (duh!) the amount of blowback force, as obviously a lighter slide needs less gas pressure to propel it compared to a heavy weight slide."
It is also my understanding that WA silver slides are all ABS because the silver plating process that they use doesn't work with the Heavy Weight material. Then I was looking on RedWolf and they said that the Xcelerator has a HW slide, but we all know how unreliable their information is. So is it true that the new Xcelerator has a ABS slide and therefore the restricted blowback unit?
In the article it says you have to replace the restricting washer 138 / Rocket valve 83 / O ring 88 / Blowback inner rear unit 85 with Rocket valve 83 / Rocket valve rubber ring 86 / O ring 88 to get the blowback force of a gun with a HW slide. Can these parts be bought from a retailer, or do you have to get them out of a HW slide equipped gun?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
