First off I think a big thanks and a salute go off to the Strikers for Hosting/Performing in a great event!

I think its safe to say everyone attending had a great time. I know I did!

The commanders also did a great job and deserve a pat on the back for doing a superior job in leading their teams!

Can't even think of any negatives related to the game play. The only negative for the weekend I had was the mortar fire (fireworks) at 1am in the morning.

But again thanks to all the players, organizers, and companys that donated the items for the raffle for making this a great weekend!

Yea i had a great time and even though i was a bit confused some of the time about what money actually belonged to us it was still fun. I really had a great time just following around the well organized team and seeing how they functioned. I was also very impressed by how much everyone was willing to teach/help me out. One guy whose name i didnt catch helped me and my friend put up our tent for the better part of an hour and really helped start our weekend off to a good start.

All in all i was very pleased and thought it was a very well spent $40 for the fee. O yea but that mortar fire was out of control, thought the world was coming to and end. props to the commanders, especially munin, as well as the dirty russians:D

o yea and a "greg wallace" ruined the best fire fight of the day and made people angry at the same time. minus 5 respect points for him.

This was my first airsoft event and I had a blast. I'd like to give the strikers a hand for a great game even though at times a few of us stood there and were like WTF's going on.Thanks for a good time Stikers and also specail thanks goes to Blade, because you said I could come even though I was 15.
I'd also like to give a hand to the glorious Tropico force, we kicked butt guys all because of great cordination and leadership.
BTW, when we had the bomb and ever one was clustered that was me who acidently fired and hit Mike aka Supercow from TAC. I was the guy leening agaist the tree in the full mask, sorry guys.

I just wanted to say, I think I had the best time spending it with my team. I had a blast hanging with Decoy, Iceman, Recon, Gryphon, and Serpant. Just the most enjoyable time with them and sociable. I really like this two day thing. It was a joy to spend today's lunch/supper with BStab, and just a thanks to you guys for completely helping the time become enjoyable and just spending it with us. Thanks to everyone organizing, and putting the months into this, Specially Aegis.
Again, good playing, and just good time to really get out there on the field. Nice meeting all people who I havent met before, Munin, and The Tac Guy, think it was Alpha Six or Nextmayor that I met last night before I went to bed. But anywho, just a pleasure to meet you all. :)

BTW - I will be posting pics shortly, only thing is prob 90% are 6mm Militia ;)

I'll give this this event a 15 out of 10 in the milsim ranking system!!! <--sarcasm

I had a slightly above average time on the field, and a great time off of it. The three day was nice to get out there and to meet some new guys (cheers GK!) and bs with all of my old friends. With the non-essential friday gaming, I was able to set up 5 tents without missing any of the festivities.

At least in my case, the 'skeeters left more whelts than enemy fire.

Blade, Hardlock and the rest of the in field organizers. Nice job, some of you really increased my respect for you guys with the way you handled things on the field. Even with a few glitches, things appeared to be running smoothly. I cannot wait to see the pictures and the movie.

Russians - I am a little disappointed we didn't use our documented evidence of your military presence in a foriegn nation to our advantage, I can wait to see how the picture turns out of the jeep :p .

Munin and GK - All I can say is that it was a blast to serve next to you guys. I cant wait to see you guys on the field again.

B-Stab - *Giggle* and Lone Star pretty much sum it up :D .

A6 - It was nice to finally put a face with the name...even if you lied about who you were ;) .

Master Merc - I think you may have one of my screwdrivers.

6MM - Once again guys, we've proven we can have a blast on or off the field. I can wait for Sunday's pics to turn out :D .

As a side note, there were some issues on the field. From our side, the serious issues were brought forth to organizers. Thankfully the most of the issues were dealt with by the organizers, and from my view always in a respectful manner.

Hey this is Ronin Fox from Ulfhedinn and i just wanted to say i had a great time playing with all of you and id gladly make that drive again. I really enjoyed working with Team TAC and IP and "dealing" with the Russians/Strikers. It was a great time and i hope to visit the field again soon. There was a little rule confusion but all in all a wonderful time on and off the field.

Everyone,

As the Russian mafiya Godfather (vor zhakonya), I'd like to express my gratitude for making Blind Fury, from my standpoint, a great success!

With First Strike and Pluto Bomber being precursors and test beds for Blind Fury, I feel that with the game-play additions - ie: medic cards (kudos to Aegis), Squad Roles (Crewman, Demo, Bio, Medic, Squad leader),Ammo limitations, and full-day scenario - everyone has seemed to step up and embrace the evolution of airsoft in Ohio. I'm very impressed with the way you've "gotten into" the role.

And speaking of roles and role-playing:
Everyone did an outstanding job dealing with the role-players. We had a Chemist and a Russian Mafiya team.
Many of you who had to deal with Pliskin as the Chemist know that role-playing can be serious business.
Anyone who had to deal with me:cool:, in particular!, now knows that we not only try to have fun with the part but also want to give you, the players, an honest and unpredictable element to the overall aspect of the game.

I had a complete 'blast' dealing with those that had to or chose to deal with the Godfather. You must realize that the interactions were NOT pre-scripted; with me or the Chemist. Our reactions and decisions were based solely on your interactions.
The only pre-notion (or pre-concept, if you will), for me, was that at some point my team had the technology to construct weapons if enough gold was handed over first. How much gold was up to the deal makers. Anything that happened to you while you were dealing with me was based on spur-of-the-moment decisions.

Yes, I know that some of you didn't leave our area without red rags on your heads. Some of you heard the dreaded words: "Keel Heem!", and if you heard those words that meant curtains for you.
But, everyone played along with it and your reactions to these unexpected interactions were what actually made Blind Fury happen.

I can't stress that enough. YOU are what made Blind Fury a success and I want to thank each one of you personally for that. You made it very interesting for me and my team. When the day began, I didn't know if our day would be completely uneventful or if Krieger and Tropico would suddenly decide to join forces and wipe the ground with our remains.
It was that wide open.

The hard work and dedication by the organizers shouldn't go unnoticed. I know that it's common to thank the organizers for the game, but, many of them gave above and beyond to see that this game was fun and exciting for you.
I'm very proud of the many good comments I heard about many of the new integrations aiding the 'feel' and 'play' of the game.

It was great to see everyone around the campfire(Thanks Maverick) chatting and giggling. I'm sure most, if not all, of you were 'dogged' after all day play - many without lunch break - but, the laughing and talking went well into the night.
For me, it's a wonderful way to relax, renew relationships with old pals and get to know new faces. Thanks for letting me be a part of that.

I can't relate how much fun this event was for me. Without going into great detail, the interactions and expressions on many of your faces during our dealings are priceless to me now. I won't name names but I'm sure there are some of you who want to see my head on the end of a spear.:D (TV Casualty comes quickly to mind...oops, I named a name.)

I'd like to thank the Commanders for their solid efforts in ensuring that their objectives were completed. Both of you made the trek into my realm to personally try and get my cooperation and, despite my tendency toward wanton violence, showed me that you were leading your teams and not just barking orders from the HQ.
Munin,
It was great meeting you and the rest of your team from Michigan. You did a great job dealing with me given the fact I gave your side the most grief.
AlphaSix,
Nice job bartering and dealing with that empty gold box. I'm sure if you knew about my evil side that empty gold box wouldn't have been empty.:D

Players,
You are the one's that had to deal with the mosquitos, the terrain, the mud, the completely Loco Chemical Dealer, and the Crazy Ivan. You all did an outstanding job and I give you thanks.

Perhaps if you ask - or if you have enough gold or a babushka - I will tell some of the stories of the interactions.

Again, thanks to everyone for coming out and playing with such enthusiasm.

Glaeken,
vor zhakonya

amazing event, hopefully we can get some more info about that next big event soon :-D

great organizing, alot of amazing and fun ideas were in the scenarios that made it a great time, there was some people not calling hits but I just hope that whomever it was, you are ashamed and never do it again. Even though iP did a good job of attacking our outbounds hospital, and attacking me and munin (whilst dead) in our inbound hospital, we had a great time and munin did a spectacular job with the breifings, just amazing.

As far as the russians go, i'd have to say they really made the event, overall it was so fun and i stayed in play the entire length of the game.

To the iP that i shot in the face with my mp5k... it was a stock mp5k in my left hand that i accidentally shot you in the cheek with, and i had my m24 balanced in my right hand, didnt mean to lay that 1 or 2 rounds into your cheek (i'm right handed). I didnt appreciate you standing up and pointing at me because i had quite the excellent location from which i was picking people off at the end of the game. (and brushing your shoulder was actually not intentional, i'm just a big lazy sloppy guy :) )

btw, those last 45 minutes really made the game amazing, the smoke, the trains, the m60's and 249's WHEW innnnnsane (was that 6 oclock end of game planned because there were going to be 3 trains driving by ?!? if so... awesome)

I'd like to thank the event organizers as well as our fearless leader Munin for providing an outstanding game.

Thanks should also be given to the many Medics and Crewmen out on the field who repeatedly risked thier "lives" in order to support thier fellow team mates. On several occasions I had medics crawl on thier bellies while under fire just to drag me away from the combat zone and treat my wounds with the card deck of fate. I'm positive the Medics and the Crewmen on both teams had an exhausting day, but thier hard work was very much appreciated. Great work guys.

I had a couple issues with people not calling thier hits, but the overall honesty of the other players outweighed most of the negative issues I had. On one occasion towards the end of the game as the Tropico team was fiddling around the nuke I was even congratulated by a TAC player (At least I think it was one of the TAC guys) for making a well placed shot to thier elbow from quite a fair distance away (which happened to be the only part of them sticking out from behind a tree at the time.)

Frostee and I (being his spotter) had some amazing firefights over the course of the day along with some incredible evasion maneuvers. At one instance a large force of IP members walked right by us as we sat motionless in the creek with our fingers on our triggers just hoping not to be spotted. The following day I decided to check that very hiding spot to see how things may have looked from IP's perspective and I have absolutely no idea how they could have missed us. hehe. Guess lady luck was on our side that day.

Great sportsmanship on the whole and I was glad to finally meet some of you in person. (Strikers, Nextmayor, Mite aka Headshot Magnet :D )
Looking forward to playing along side you all again real soon.

I had a great time!

I congratulate Alphasix for be being an excellent commander and all of the tropico team for their excellent communication, and fighting as hard as they can all day. The event was a great success.

I would also like to congratualte the krieger and Tropico snipers for making unreal and amzing long range shots. This was the first time that I saw snipers actually making a difference and it was awsome.

I had a really great time. Also, with this being my first event, I think it was a great one and really set the standards for any other events I attend in the future.

All in all, I think every one played out their roles to the best of their abilities, making the game that much more interesting. I also had a few times when players that I shot out and hit would not call out, but that is expected sometimes, and it didn't happen too much either.

Probably the most interesting fire fight for me was the one with Team S.T.A.T., 6mm bSTAB on the ridge near the Russians with I bbelieveTeam TAC and iP. That clusterf*uck was really intense, especially when all the hit Kriegers got up and left for the hospital, leaving 5 members of STAT to hold there own (me being one of them) I think everyone on the ridge at that battle fought really well and hard, just that the Kriegers were outnumbered there.

The last big battle at the end was also very interesting. Probably the biggest firefight I have ever seen.

I also want to thank the commanders for giving their all to make this event really interesting (and confusing at some times).

Id also like to thank the commanders for trying their hardest to use their men to the best of their abilities to get objectives done. It was really nice meeting Munin, seems like a very laid back cool guy. I also wanted to thank Master Merc for staying with Team STAT for a while and giving us help, it is really appreciated.

Cant wait for the John Lu event in September!

What a great event. The weather was perfect and the milsim experience was even better. Congratulations and thank you to blade and the Strikers for making this all happen. I agree with others that the camping and interaction with all the players made this event special, I really enjoyed it. (One thing that I could have done without was the “ring of dust” the ATV’ers provided us with all day Sunday. How much GOLD would it take to have them go away at the next event?)

My complements to the Tropicos and Kreigers for a well contested day of Airsoft action that was non-stop, strategic, and physically draining. Personally I enjoyed my responsibility and experience as a Tropico squad leader and the opportunity to work with our commander AlphaSix of TAC, fellow squad leaders Ronin Fox of Ulfhedinn, D_Man of UNRRF, Seal6007 of TAC, and Tombo131 of UCRS, you guys helped make the day a successful one for the Tropicos!

And to my team mates of iP, mojave, Shatofo, Kroger, Dirty, B|itz, static, Namboose, mace, wolverine, cyber con, Nosebuckle, extractor, Greaseman, D-G MON, I don't know which was better, your performance in the field or at the raffle, LOL.

Hey Hadoken, smart decision not to pull those triggers as you lived to see another day! We did not see you 2 as we were in a hurry taking your money and bomb parts back to our HQ. - LMAO

The Russians were by far the BEST feature of this event.
I only wish more people could have shared my fate, as it was truly a humbling experience…

I will one day get my revenge on you Glaeken, just you wait.

But seriously, I got way into the role, maybe even beyond my control, when it came to further dealings with the Russians. To me, that is the best anyone could expect out of an airsoft game, only wish it could have been more wide spread and I would have seen Munin tell you guys it was ok to kill another member of our team. :D

I am very glad to see eveyone had a good time. No matter how hard we plan, the event could not have happened without YOU. Amazing to see everyone play for 7.5hrs straight! Thanks for attending. :)

As one of the organizers, I had the rare opportunity to be all over the field throughout the day. The action I saw was intense, the role playing was great and the radio traffic (I could hear all channels) was better than ANY sports play-by-play.

Kudos to BOTH commanders for making some very tough decisions. Tropico's decision to forego buying antidote to save their villages in favor of buying the nuclear weapon ALMOST cost them the game, but they got lucky. :) Kreiger's (Munin's) decision before the final battle to "forget the poison, forget the disarming key! We will NOT let them bring that bomb to our HQ!" was gutsy, but it payed off. :)

So all-in-all, Tropico may have won the days battle (congratulations!), but neither side won the war. Tropico's attemp to vaporize Kreiger with a nuke failed and Kreiger's subversive plan to kill the Tropico population slowly through chemical warfare came up short. Neither Tropico nor Kreiger were annihilated. Both live on to fight again. To be continued. Stay tuned! :D

Strikers,

Great Job a few minor issues but I refuse to start this post on a bad note, you all know what all happened it'll be better next time. I had a great time, if this is any indication of how things will be done that John Lu event is gonna rock.

Geist Kompanie,

It was worth the $40 bucks. Espiecally the down time off the field with 6MM, B-STAB, and GK. Decoy, Iceman, Armyhummer, Serpent, Gryphon, and Spewy it was great to bs and fight along side you guys agin. I tip my hat to the STRIKERS for this event. I bow respectfully to Munin for a lead from the front Commander attitude. And I raise a bottle of vodka in the air to those Russkies that made the day. And as usually I fulfilled my name sake as the only Kreiger defending the in bound hospital as I.P. ( The Stampeding Herd) ;) came charging over the hill at me. Thankfully the creek bed and a speedy reenforce by GK helped remedy the fight.

Thanks Zorak for the mag in the creek, I was down to my pistol.

And for the negitive issues that came up I would like to thank Hardlock and Pliskin for there quick action.

And unless all of 6MM thought I was someone else, did I get a name change????

Can't wait to shoot it up again with everyone.

Merc, you were the one.

When I was approached by the Russians as to why the Tropicos killed one of their men I told them we did not do it. We were bringing them gold, why would we kill a Russian? I told the Russians that we could either go get more gold or go kill the Kreigers that killed their comrad. They told me to worry about the gold and they would settle the score with the Kreigers. You were it.

As fate would have it, I was the Tropico with the knee brace.

It was definately a pleasure getting to know a lot of our players and the other squad leaders of Tropico. AlphaSix, thanks for doing an outstanding job as our CO.

I'll begin by saying the Strikers did a great job with this event and its in depth parts and objectives that kept us all running for over 8 hours :) and with only a few problems with communication and rule clarification, but such minor issues can hardly influence this event in any ruining way.

To our team, the Tropicos, we really pulled together a great strategy from the get-go and were able to get much more done than I thought we would be able to accomplish. It was great seeing and working with you boys for iP, UCRS, TAC, and you boys from Chicago, and of course I gotta give credit to our fearless leader AlphaSix for moving the troops around all day and holding down our HQ from those sneaky pilot insurgents. Having seen both our HQ and the enemy's I can say our "redecoration job" was much more practical ;)

To the Kreigers, you guys put up a great fight and kept me on my toes all day and kept us from ooverall victory in the final hour, and props to Munin to leading from the front on your team, which he must have, as your HQ was so easy to infiltrate during the earlier parts of the game ;)

To Tombo, and all the guys on our squad who had no team to link up with, I think we did a great job to work as a formidable squad even though few of us knew each other. I hope to see you guys again in the future.

And finally, I'd like to extend my appreciation to all of the Tropico medics, as I'm sure I met all of you with my stagering amount of deaths during the day (I think my death rad spent more time on my head than in my LBE  )

Strikers, I had a great time despite having to leave Sat. night and I look forward to more events of this caliber in the future :)

Folks,

Is anyone else still on a post-game 'high' or is it just me?

I am so very enthused and psyched about future events that I think my wife is close to calling Punisher and telling him to "keel heem" just to shut me up about the game.

I'm sitting here giggling at some of your comments about the game because they bring back such vivid memories.

TvCasualty, don't think that I didn't put a mirror under my car this morning. hehehehe...I'm gonna have to watch my back from now on.:D

Master Merc,
I found out later that day from Prose that it was one of his more trigger happy guys that shot The Tick and sealed your fate.
Apparently with all the chaos from the smoke screen and your fellow Krieger forces in such proximity to the Tropicos, one of the Tropico players mistook The Tick for one of you guys.
As soon as he got shot (theTick), I started shouting at the top of my lungs "Kill them ALL! They shoot Tick. They must pay! Kill them ALL!
Everyone on the Russian team opened up full-auto on that hillside.
When you finally arrived with Munin I wasn't sure what I was going to do. But, alas, I decided to see how Munin would react strategically after I shot one of his guys in reprisal for what I thought was his fault. I didn't know at the time it was a Tropico shooter. If I had, it would have made my later interaction with AlphaSix...shall we say...alittle more tense?

Also, I'd like to get with the photographers and isolate the images of all of those that were 'wacked' by the Russians. I'll make a special picture-collage to upload into the gallery.

The look of shock, utter abandonment and slight anger at having to 'take-one-for-the-team' will keep me in stitches for awhile. I almost felt sorry for you.
It was so funny to see you respond when Munin turned to you and said "Sorry, dude." After I said "...someone must pay!" for the loss of my man.

Ronin Fox,
If you are who I think you are, you should be very proud to know that it was you who made it an almost grief-free day for your fellow Tropico forces.
Your elegant manners and quick wit from the first meeting kept 'the evil godfather' at bay for most of the day.
The way you handled yourself after the shooting of The Tick was marvelous. Let me tell you that 'Evil godfather' was straining on his leash, but, you proved that you deserved the gold name tag you were wearing.
My hat is off to you. I'm glad you won one of the $200 gift certificates from:
Wargame Club (http://www.wargameclub.com/WGC_Shop/)

Speaking of which, how about those prizes? The retailers who graciously sent in raffle prizes made the event a truly special one for many. I hope that everyone makes an effort to do alot of business with the retailers.

Prose, I could tell that you were fairly PO'ed at me for shooting up your guys when you were bringing me those bomb parts. You did great maintaining your temper and calming the situation.

I'll try to keep the rest of this brief, but, the wonderful ways that the 'fog-of-war' varied this game couldn't have been planned. Tick getting shot, the gold case being empty, and the playboy...lmao, could not have been pre-planned. There's just no way we could have organized those things to happen at such specific times. The <6:00 trains mentioned were a fluke. But I definitely agree they timed out perfectly making that last fire fight an absolute player's dream come true for it's intensity.

Hardlock mentioned that everyone should "stay tuned" and that sounds great to me. Although, in my opinion, it will be tough to top Blind Fury...but, that could just be because I'm still so 'high' about it.

P.S. I'm sure I left out acknowleging many of you and for that I'm sorry. I'm pretty bad with names, but faces I don't forget. So when I ask you what your name is don't be offended.

Blade

Glaeken and all,

I want to post more about the game but for now and as Hardlock said, stay tuned, Blind fury 2 will be even better with more prizes and more "strategy". If you guys loved the role playing, you can expect even more.

Speaking of Blade and Punisher,

I want to shout out my appreciation to both of them, Michel of 6mmShop and Francois of Combat Depot, for their sponsorship of Blind Fury.

Michel supplied many of the bb's used by everyone playing. The 6mm Shop supported AirsoftElite's supplying bb's for both days.

Francois/Combat Depot donated a beautiful CA AEG and... I can't recall everything else...uh oh, I'm in trouble.;)

A little more about the game:

I want to thank everyone for policing up their trash. The fact that we leave 0% of the trash generated on the ground shows the field owner (Bud) that we appreciate him letting us rent his field for our events.
Thanks for ensuring our continued use by taking care of the little things like trash.

Real war is hell, fake war is hella fun!
Thanks everyone! You strikers are thanking us attendees, but you all put on a great event that we had a great time with, so a special thank you for all your time, and effort in setting it up.

Glaeken, you mentioned being on a high, my head is still spinning with glee from all the excitement. btw, I was with the tropico crew that shot Tic, might even be my fault for calling a few of us back after seeing the smoke, and wondering what the F was going on. Your reactions after the killing had us bolting out of there giggling ;) I was filling Tic in on what happened at the bomb fire, and it was funny as hell to hear about what went down after we shot'em hehe

Thanks all it was spectacular!

Well well...

First of all, thanks to Strikers for an excellent event. The scenario was awesome, and you guys did a great job playing your parts on the field. You guys also did a great job of taking care of the few problems we did have on the field...I'd like to personally thank Hardlock for his quick response time on a couple things...it's good to know the organizers are really concerned with making sure the game goes smoothly.

What a game...the field was probably the best piece of land I've played on to date, the elevation, trails, and even the mud made for a great experience for me.

Big Kudos to aegis for the medic system...I originally thought it might complicate things unnecessarily, but it actually worked out very well...pat yourself on the back, dude...you deserve it.

The last firefight of the day...wow. That was the most intense bit of airsoft I've ever participated in...if you could bottle the feeling of that fight and sell it, you'd be a billionaire. When Jacko died and stuck his M249 in my hands, everything went to hell...in a good way. Next thing I know, I'm flinging mass amounts of 6mm spheres downrange, then rushing over to the tent to take care of casualties...being screamed at to give the SAW to someone who's not a medic (I didn't dare...Jacko would have seriously hurt me :p)...emphatically refusing as I rushed back out to a tree to take up my firing position...then madly rushing back to set up a 5-man triage session....and it kept going...and going.

Wow. Four hour drive? Yeah. Do it again? In a heartbeat. Keep us Michigan folks posted, and you can be sure we'll drop by now and then...so long as y'all return the favor once in a while ;)

Duck Man from Ulfheidnn here, that was the first game thgat we had played with the strikers in about a year and it was probably one of the best times i personally had playing airsoft.Hardlock you geting the boom mic's made the day so much more manigeable.Maverick and the other pilot managed to mess up early in the game by walking into our hands twice(2x!) made the game much longer and so much more fun!(even thugh the russians wouldent accept you in a wig as a woman maverick!:D ) thanks for the great game guys!

Second that- having the serious radios made real team communication and strategy possible and thus made the op much more interesting.

Many, many thanks to the Strikers for running the op and to the other teams for making the event such a blast. I also have to give IP some recognition for getting the job done. I couldn't believe how quicly you folks got on top of us at the beginning of the game.

I personally want to thank everyone that made it to Blind Fury. YOU made this event a great one. Combine that with a well organized/planned weekend by mainly blade and Hardlock (With all Strikers supporting) and all the retailers and manufacturers that believed in us and gave some awesome prizes for raffle this was an amazing event.
For the people that decided not to come for any reasons that you may have, just read all the comments and see what a hell of a weekend you missed.

I want to thank Airsoft Elite, Airsoft Extreme, Airsoft Gear, Black Hawk, Deep Fire, Guarder, Hurricane, Combat Depot, PDI, Wargame Club and The 6mm Shop for their sponsorship.

I had a blast playing a Russian. We tried to put you guys in the mood by blasting off the Russian National Anthem for about an hour before the game. Thanks Glaeken for being such a great commander in this event and all my Russian comrade for being such a good sport at playing our role. For people wondering, I was the Russian on top of the hill aiming at you with my M16 at all time you were talking to Glaeken and when giving the orders I shot you. :)

Aegis Jeep painted black with a red star on the hood with a rocket launcher on the top frame made a very nice prop and added to the feeling. We almost painted my RV in black also with Russian emblems on the side to add to the feeling. :)

Overall a very good event in my opinion. :)

I too am very interested in seeing pics/footage of the event, since so many Strikers seemed to have cameras on hand. :)

That said, I enjoyed the game. Meeting action almost from the very start of the day was a surprise, after being told the field was humungously huge. Getting seperated from my squad about an hour in and having to hide/run from either TAC (Or UNRRF) and iP for a couple hours afterwards was a lot of fun as I hung around Factory E.

The mud was a new challenge, that's for sure. Not wanting to face plant myself and a couple thousand dollars worth of gun made for some pretty ridiculous looking 'Mud skiing' as Munin put it. :) The terrain was awesome, I loved the cliff faces and streams, and I'm glad our practice field is a big-*** hill, made hiking up and down a bit easier on me.

It was great seeing some folks I met way back at Op: White Thunder. I was looking forward to playing with Iceman and the 6mm crew again, and meeting BSTAB was a lot of fun. Serpent, I'm the same height as I was back then, though probably not the same width. ;)

I heard about cheating on both sides, though I can't say I witnessed a lot of anything, simply because I never really got the chance to actively engage people in scenarios where I could spend time seeing if I hit them or not, such as the last twenty minutes. When I was engaging in the earlier part of the day, I recalled folks called their hits. With the thickness of the foliage, I didn't feel I was in a position to say 'Call your hit' to anybody. However, the one big incident that really bummed me out was Ray Willis or Greg Wallace or whomever it was in desert cammies that almost started a fist fight. Get some anger mangement therapy, dude.

To touch on what Glaeken said about the trash: We should always leave the field how we found it. All the trash from the Kreiger OOB Hospital was in my assault pack when Munin and I left the field on Saturday.

Big props to Striker and all the sponsors, couldn't have had an event without them and I'm glad I was able to make it, no matter how early I had to get up, or how many wasps were in the port-o-john. ;)

Where to begin...

Obviously with the Strikers. You guys put on a hell of an event. The work that went into the preparation and pacing of this game was enormous, and the coordination alone was a herculean effort. Give yourselves a huge pat on the back. The inclusion of the Russians as a wild-card was great, and made for some wonderfully tense interactions. Glaeken, our negotiations over the "payback" for losing one of your men (even the Tropicos eventually owned up to it) were priceless, and when you gave us exactly nothing for the last two blocks of gold we brought, things got really tense. I fully realize it would have led to Michel lighting me up, but you came a hair's breadth from being knife-killed. :)

Big thanks to all my squad leaders and RTO's. Without your hard work, determination, and attention to detail, we'd have been hosed. But you all knew your part, and improvised very well when the game suddenly changed.

Thanks to Master Merc for "taking one for the team."

Thanks to OnSite for being a trooper and trying over and over to go out solo and check to see if Village 6 was indeed unpoisoned.

Big props to S.T.A.T. Even though they were incommunicado for several hours, they had such a thorough understanding of the mission details that they took the initiative and accomplished half our objectives single-handedly.

Geist Kompanie and 6mm Militia were intrumental in making noise, causing casualties, and keeping the enemy tied up.

B-STAB and Red Shadow, your patience to remain unengaged until the bomb-carriers were committed and engaged with forces at the HQ before sweeping into their rear probably saved the game for us.

And to the two guys on my LRRP team: your constant willingness to try to go into the most difficult areas in order to see what was going on was gutsy as hell.

And now, the enemy:

iP, I've got to hand it to you guys - you got onto that ridge so quickly and completely that it was virtually impossible to dig you out. You had us largely penned into our deployment zone, and while we could keep you away from a few of our factories, we were not going anywhere and taking furious casualties in doing so. It wasn't until you moved off the high ground to assault our inbounds hospital that we had the chance to strike on more even terms and eventually break out.

Team TAC: you guys are tenacious like bulldogs. That firefight on the ridge between the Chemist and the Russians was awesome, with cries of "Medic!" and "we need a Crewman up here NOW!" echoing from both sides. Very intense, and you guys kept up the pressure the entire time.

And to the blond-haired guy in flecktarn with the peaked cap (sorry, I didn't catch your callsign): you are a right sneaky bastard, and your patience was definitely rewarded. Thanks for calling me on that hit on my pack, I never would have felt it and I'd hate to have cheated you out of a well-earned kill.

And to all the medics from both sides: you guys took insane risks to keep people in the game. Hats off to all of you.

I had a blast. It was cool to put faces to names, and hanging out at camp was almost as much fun as the Op itself. I definitely look forward to attending more Strikers events in the future.

My pictures have been uploaded to Blade so you should see them soon. I won't waste time here since everything has been said, but thanks to all that came out. I saw this event from a different perspective and I had a blast. This time I had to call out " camera hit" instead of "gun hit". ;)

ah what a blast at the event i had :) this was the best of the 3 striker events that i attended(op:first striker, op:plutonium bomber). this game had so much more. the thing that i think made this the most memorable was the radios. i the previous 2 events i had almost no communication with my team.(since i was an RTO) i was able to talk to everyone, and scare hardlock at the same time by not returning it on saturday night. sorry i didn't know.
but being the RTO had some goods too. I ALWAYS knew what was going
on. and yes being redshadow and coming up on the flank a the end of the game it was good to HEAR munin calling and me knowing that he needed ours and BSTABS help.(even though that was when the train was rolling by and we couldn't hear anything)

but all in all it was a good time especially with meeting and playing with munin, red shadow, and all the other people on the kriegers side.

where and when will the pics be up?

Thank you Strikers for hosting this incredible event. It doesn't get much better for an airsofter than being able to stand elbow to elbow with old and new friends while overcoming obstacles and facing new challenges with grim determination. The trusts and companionships that those situations facilitate are very fulfilling. It was a great time.

Thanks to the members of the Krieger team, with special thanks to the medics. You all performed your roles and duties admirably. If I had to battle the opposing team again I'd want every one of you by my side.

Thanks to the members of the Tropico team. Your conduct, coordination, and decisive action made you an almost insurmountable opponent. You deserved the victory... Congratulations.

To all the sponsors, food providers, and anyone else behind the scenes I offer my gratitude for helping to make such a great success.

And, lest ye boast too much...

Hey Hadoken, smart decision not to pull those triggers as you lived to see another day! We did not see you 2 as we were in a hurry taking your money and bomb parts back to our HQ. - LMAO

Hadoken, as Prose said, you’re lucky we were too busy fulfilling our objectives and winning the game before dark =D.

Remember that it only took the two of us (Hadoken and Frostee) to delay major parts of iP and TAC for over half an hour at the top of one of the ridges.
We also delayed TAC at the top of the hill by the chemist, as Mite can attest.
And, the two of us were responsible for flanking and boxing in some of iP near the end of the game, while you were trying to advance the nuke.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all in September. Have fun, stay safe.

Well Ladies and Gentlemen, what else can I say?

To the Strikers: Good Job guys.

To Tropico: This is just the beginning :)

To my Kreiger Comrades: We shall be avenged.

To the Guys from Michigan: Great seeing you guys again. It was also awesome to play with you guys. 6mm and I will cover your flanks anytime.

To my Dog's on 6mm: God dang it was great to be playing again full speed. Looking forward to the next event.

And to Glaken: I too, have been having "FlashBacks" if you will of Blind Fury. My Girlfriend has threatened to beat the hell out of me if I mention this game one more time.

To Hardlock: Awesome job with the radio's. I actually can still hear the chatter in my right ear.

Well, I think thats it. I'll be looking forward to the sequel.
