Does anyone have any experience securing the RIS unit on a Marui M4A1 RIS with aftermarket outer barrel (Guarder or G&G)?
The clamps that held the RIS unit to the stock outer barrel no longer fit when a new outer barrel is installed - the RIS unit snaps in place sililar to a traditional handguard but the RIS unit still wobbles in place a little.
Does anyone have any suggestions or fixes?

I've got the Guarder Convertible Reinforced Barrel (2003 version) on my TM M4 RIS. I too had the issue you are talking about. It took a little bit of fine tuning, but I finally got it squared away. The steps that I took to correct the RIS wobble were
1) Make sure the front collar (right behind the sight tower is good and secure. A judicious amount of loctite helped here. Be careful, the screw that holds that plate in place is very tiny and probably can be stripped pretty easily.
2) Adjust your barrel as tight (short) as it can possibly be. I loosend both the top and bottom set screws on the barrel, put the RIS in place and really jammed it together. Not talking exessive or violent force here, but enough to make it really tight. I then tightend the bottom set screw (the RIS covers the top one). With the barrel partially secured, I removed the RIS. It was very very hard to get off, but with a bit of work, I got it off with no issues. I then tightend the top set screw and fought the RIS back into place. It seemed to lock things up pretty good.
After having the new barrel in place for a couple of months, it seemed to loosen up a bit again. I had enough of that. I wanted my M4 to be rock solid and not have to worry about the RIS wobbling any more. So, I picked up the following item:

It attaches to the flat top reciever like any scope or rail accessory, but then it also screw (vertically) into the top rail on the RIS. I know it's not the solution for everyone, but my first AEG was a P90 and it was rock solid all over. I just couldn't stand the attention that my M4 needed. Here's a pic with the rail installed:

The steps I listed above took care of the RIS wobble for me, but I wanted the SWAN rail (Nitro Voices Rail Sleeve) to be sure and a little different.
Good Luck.
