Airsoft CO2 Power Booster

This is supposed to hook up to gas guns to allow them to run from CO2. Does anyone have any experience using them or any opinions about it?

Thats for Paint ball guns if u use Co2 on airsoft guns the gun will blow up because Co2 is way to strong u every see a airgun use Co2 it goes 700FPS now that alot now think of using it in a puney airsoft gun (BOOM)

I assume your talking about bb/pellet guns when you say "airguns". There are airguns that take CO2 that only go 300-400 fps.

Here's a picture of the CO2 system I'm talking about. It looks like its hooked up to a KWC Colt Caspian in the picture.

Go to www.blowguns.net
Click airsoft

Thug and Assault,

Thug, your assumption is totally [b]incorrect.[/]b]

The above CO2 kit is meant specifically for use with airsoft replicas. It is a rudimentary in-line regulator system that will keep the input pressure well within airsoft GBB or gas-NBB parameters, and will not cause damage for those replicas which are either capable of accepting this accessory in "stock/OEM" format (i.e. KWC's "high-grade" GBBs) or can be modified with sufficient aftermarket parts to strengthen their overall mechanics as well as body structure for comparable input pressures that are often seen with Taiwanese "Green Gasses" on a "warm" temperature day.

You will find many on-line reviews of many different airsoft replicas using this system. A read of such reviews will reveal their usage concerns.

Aside from the durability issue that I've touched on above, another consideration to keep in-mind is that these systems directly supply the gas containment reservoir -- thus, with GBBs, the line is plugged into the magazine. Unless you come up with a Q/D-Q/C assembly for the valve input, you will essentially have to reload the magazine of BBs, which is a very time-consuming thing to do during skirmishes. Furthermore, even with the QD/C connector, you'll still have to "swap" connections, which will also eat up much more time during reloads.

These systems are only suited for applications where the reservoir remains stationary/in-situ during use.

THis one is CO2 and ha velocity between 200-300 fps.

Texx,

Assault is right on this one -- depending on model, they can dip into the 250's.... The 400's are more common, with a few hanging in the 300's, but there are models that can dip well into the mid-high 200's.
