December 2004: One month after the election, the again victorious incumbent President decides to make a goodwill flight into Iraq. The whole matter is kept hush-hush. The American public is told that the President is going on vacation to his ranch.
Near Baghdad International Airport, an Iraqi intelligence officer has managed to work his way onto the Iraqi police force. His mission tonight while on patrol is to drop off an RPG for some insurgents hiding in the area. The Americans trust him. They are blissfully unaware of his activities.
The President's aircraft, an Air Force C-141 Starlifter outfitted for the temporary role of air Force one in the combat zone, comes in on approach.
Hamid Khalil Al-Mazari, an upcoming rising star in the insurgent movement sees nothing but an incoming aircraft; unaware that it carries the American President. Thinking to make more of a name for himself, he decides to take a shot at the plane...
By blind luck or the will of Allah, the rocket strikes home in the cockpit. Suddenly hot metal shrapnel fills the cockpit. The pilot slumps over the controls seriously wounded. The co-pilot is dead. Already low on approach, the aircraft heels suddenly to the left. By sheer superhuman strength, the pilot manages to avoid a full blown deadly crash. Instead, the aircraft crash lands onto the main highway outside Baghdad and skids wildly across the pavement, smoking and sending up a shower of sparks.
Seizing the moment, insurgents begin surging into the area, hoping to loot the aircraft of any valuable supplies, unaware of its most valuable cargo.
Secret Service contingent and Air Force crew members break out their M-4s and M-16s. The aircraft has put out a frantic call: "Eagle Down."
With the aircraft leaking gasoline from a ruptured fuel line and armed insurgents and civilians alike moving into the area, the decision is made to get the shaken but very much alive President off the aircraft and to safety before the plane explodes.
Your mission is obvious. The question is, can you carry it out?
Insurgents have a decided advantage. Give them no less than four or five respawns each. One hit kills.
Secret Service and crewmembers: Medic rules. Headshots kill. Chest shots disable. All other wounds are considered minor and you may continue to fight, BUT YOU MUST BE BANDAGED regardless.
Even if the unthinkable happens, you have not lost UNLESS THE ENEMY GAINS CONTROL OF THE BODY. You must get the President back to friendly forces in order to win.
Godspeed. You're gonna need it.
