Are airsoft guns THAT durable??
I often see in movies, news, etc. that people often throw, drop, hang their gun with a sling like it wouldn't break. Does anyone do that with their AEGs?
As for me, I carry my G36C on a sling and everytime I swing it to the back I will always have the funny feeling that "oh my silencer will break or my magazine will crack off". I mean... the silencer attachment looks sooo fragile (are they?), looks like one hit with a tree would bend it and and the barrel inside it.
Do you have those kind of feelings? or maybe I'm just too careful.

yeah i definately feel like that and thats part the reason that i got a p90, because its a brick. i am soo careful with that thing, it makes me lok paranoid. but the more careful you are with it, most likely the longer it will last.

I agree with you, the p90 has a real solid design.

Mickle, since you have a G36, you shouldn't worry too much. G36s are probably the strongest weapons i have seen on the field. One of my team mates has one, and he has beat the living **** out of it and it still works fine. One of my team-mates even fell on the thing and didnt do anything to it, so it is a rock. Ive also used one before, and i have to say if there were no such things as M4s, i would have bought the G36, its nice.
As for other guns, some have better durability traits then others. Take the stock TM M4, it almost like jello after a few uses. Everyone one on my team who owns one has had something break on it. I had the top rail on the receiver pop off, really bad barrel wobble. Then two other team-mates had the thier rails get ****ty, and now they can use them.
I got my M4 upgraded with a bunch of things (metal body, nice reinforced barrel, internal upgrade, etc) and now it is as solid as a rock. But just because now it is very strong, doesnt mean im going to see how much **** i can beat out of it. Im going to take better care of it then what i did when i first got it.
All AEGs will eventually break from something. Some sooner then others. It just depends on what it is made out of, how much you use it and how you use it. That will determine the life-span of your weapon.

my m15 might as well be a real steel rifle. I can play "whack the engine block" with it just fine.
dont try that with a TM m16A2.....just........dont.

Yeah, G36's are pretty tough. I have one also. Put it through quite a beating, and shoots just fine.
I also dropped my M15 from a 2 story tower at CPX onto a bunch of rocks (rainy day...ramp was slippery :( ). I was worried at first of course...but when I got to it, it was perfectly fine. Of course, this could have been due to the fact M15's have metal bodies instead of plastic, but yeah...thing is, it was still alive.

It didn't have anything to do with our rails. I showed you the other day what happened. The connector pieces that hold the upper receiver to the lower receiver snapped causing me to lose the connector pin, hence the reason why my TM M4 is currently zip-tied together. And I could still technically use it, I just don't want to risk breaking it and it looks kind of ghetto. All I know is that my CA M15 is like a godsend compared to the flimsy TM.
