i say as many as you think you need, sometimes more than you need. as long as you can carry them in a LBV or magpouches without any trouble. for shorter games carry less, longer games carry more

MP5's have a pretty high ROF, if your only packing 100 rnd mags you may want to invest in several to meet your ammo needs

The more you play, the more you will realize your personnal needs based on your style of play.

I've played games where I have blown through four m16 high-caps (300rds each) in a matter of minutes. I have played other games where one mp5 high-cap (200rds) lasted me most of the day.

It all depends on different factors, but like I always say, "It's to better have it 1000 times and not need it 999 times, then it is to have it 0 times and desperately need it once."

That's a damn good catch phrase.

buy 2, you'll probably use at least that. If you need more, buy more.

Well, I kinda go with half the philosophy of Decoy. Pack as many as you can carry on your gear. I don't go all that I can carry though. Just generally what I can fit within reason without shaking around. 3 mags in my drop leg mag holder, and 2 sets of 2 clamped together in the outside pouches on the LBV. 3 Standards, 3 highcaps 1 Midcap.

so yeah, now that army hummer has graced you with the knowledge of what he carries, why dont you just buy 2 and buy more if you need more. G&P isnt going to stop making them any time soon, you can always get more later.

Yeah, the safest way would be to buy 2 or 3 right now, and if you need more then invest in more mags. Dont go on a shopping spree and buy a bunch of mags that just sit idle in your pouches.
