Anybody have any good ideas for Marine Force Recon scenarios?

The Force Recon units are primarily that, reconnaisance units. If you're looking for MILSIM type scenarios, they'll need to be some sort of sneak and peek thing, with a possibility of direct action.

6-man FR team. They need to infiltrate an area, locate a specific objective and observe it for X minutes (more on this later).

20-man OPFOR. Should be broken into two groups, roving- and static-security elements. "Rovers" should be in 3-4 man groups and MUST patrol within an assigned area. The static security element must stay around the objective.

The objective can be about anything....Colombian cocaine processing plant, guerilla HQ, terrorist training camp...you're only limited by your imagination. You should have some non-players (properly attired in safety gear) doing something.....mashing coca leaves into paste, planning the next raid, training new suicide bombers. If possible, have some props. Tents, barrels, a campfire...anything to help your players build on the fantasy! LOL

The rovers should be far out enough from the objective that it'd take a few minutes for them to reach it if they hear "gunfire". They should also be far enough from the FR team start point that they do have to actually patrol, not just set up an ambush and wait. If/When they make contact, they should radio (or yell) for assistance. Same goes for the objective security.

Anyway, the FR (or whoever) unit is given a map of the playfield and a GENERAL location of the objective. They then go looking, avoiding patrols. Needless to say, they cannot just ambush every patrol they come across...this is a recon unit!!! They locate the objective, observe, then report back. Hopefully, your guys have radios to use!! LOL If you're so inclined, you can tell your FR team "Okay, take'em out."
