Locutus asked me today to be relieved from the Administrator task. As some of you know there is a lot of pressure on all the Moderators and mainly the Administrator because we just can't make everyone happy with the decisions we make.
I have been away from the forums and online community because of my work schedule since October or so and Locutus as done a good job in my opinion to keep this community running, I thank him for that. I will be still very busy at least until July or so and I need help to help maintain this forum.
If there is any serious people that have time to dedicate to moderating this forum please let me know by private message.
Thank you for your support.

Don't rejoice yet! I will still be here posting, but unforunately my time is really short these days between my two jobs, so I don't feel I can honestly do a good job of filling in for Punisher while he is busy anymore. AO certainly needs people who can devote a lot of time and attention to it these days. I have recommended a few people to Punisher who I think can help out.

I cruise through the forums a couple times a day just to see what is up... but if i was mod those topics that turned into a flame war would have been shut down a while ago... lol
so i'll throw my name in the hat

I'm constantly on the forums, but I suppose there probably is an 18 or up age limit?

Legend,
It takes a considerate of time if you want to do the job right but that is not the biggest issue.
The biggest issue is when you start moderating, no matter how you do it, you start making people upset. That is up to you to know if you are able to deal with people insuting or threatening you because you moderate their topics/posts. People will talk behind your back about how a bad person you are  and that you have no rights to do what you are doing. They will claim freedom of speech and all kinds of other things to try to bend you and stop you from moderating.
Those people are sometimes reported to me and I deal with it. Some never understand and keep coming back and we have to moderate them again and again, just as if they don't realize what they are doing wrong or how not to do wrong.
Just something to think about.

I wouldn't mind helping you out and just modding a certain forum if need be in that aspect. And no need to worry about people becomming mad at me, that was long ago, and if anyone is mad at me now, they just hold grudges constantly, and really need to mature along as I have. I am always open Punisher. :)

I read through the forums a lot, and I'd be very interested in helping to moderate the Bolt Action Forum here.

I received a lot of responses for this via PM, thank you for your support. Because I got so many I would like to talk to the ones that will be present at Operation First Strike in Springfield Saturday. It will be a lot quicker than answering everyone of you.

I feel your pain....
My Admintration and Moderation duties at AirsoftForum.com takes up a good 4 hours per day...and thats not including time I need to make my own posts or do my own reasearch for my OWN airsoft gear and guns. That does also include the many PMs and AIM messages I get from ASF forum members that pop up as soon as I get online.
I work 8-9 hours a day, 1 hour travel time, then 4 hours of forum admin, that leaves me about 1-4 hours to watch tv and/or relax, or do laundry, or whatever. Then 6 hours to sleep.....I would not be able to even have time to sleep if I didnt sneak in a little moderating on my breaks at work. Man I wish i could get paid for the Mod work...lol
I definitely feel your pain.
