Rope Training.... Who would be interested??

I was just kind of curious who would be interested in receiving the same rope and rappelling training that most of Ohio's S.W.A.T. Teams are taught. I am a instructor and think it would be fun to get a bunch of airsoft people together and have a training day. I think it would be possible to do some of the training with guns being involved. We have a breakaway window to simulate rappelling into a hostile situation and then I think we could fire upon a target.

This would have to be conveyed as professional training... NO HORSEPLAY! But this is a chance that most do not get to participate in.

It will take at least a group of 12-15 as a minimum to conduct these classes.

I would estimate the price for 8 hours of instruction to be $35-45

I def. would cept I'm out in MA, u know of any places in New England that would do somethin like that? Everywhere I've looked it's been a couple hundred dollars.

I think it would be a cool class. I already go rappelling, but i have never done it off of a building in full gear. Sounds like a load of fun :D

Is that place open for just rappelling, or is there an opportunity for people to rappell if they don't need the course?And is there an open face you can rappell from?

Ok I did all the checking and everything is a GO!. Looks like the cost will be $45.00 for a 8 hours of training and rappelling. It will take at least 12 people to do the class. Everyone will have to let me know who is interested in going. It will be required that you put a deposit of $25 (paid to the company that runs the facility) to reserve the spot. I am planning for like the second weekend in May. I think this will be a fun day. This place is located near Findlay Ohio so everyone has some idea where it is. I will have more detailed information to come. Who would be interested in maybe a skirmish on sunday if I can find a place near by to play?

Nope. We do as small as 6 years old. But if your under 13 you have to be accompanied by a parent at all times. I am in the process of getting release forms so anyone under 18 email me and I will send you a form via email to have completed. *** These forms must be completed in order to partake in this class if you are under 18!!! No form No Rappelling... Sorry its the law!

Master Merc, again, if someone wants to go up either with the group or on some other day, do they have rappelling available for those who are already trained? I'd like to go rappelling, but I'm not really interested in paying to learn rappelling all over again.

And is there an open faced rappell tower?

Ok people,
If we are going to do this we need to get the ball rolling. I am also looking for someone that can help rally that troops because I am going to be gone for about 3.5 weeks without internet access so I need someone that can help pass the information around and be a go between contact while I am gone. We need to get a idea of what dates people are wanting and see if they are available. My plane leaves monday afternoon and I would like to have this stuff in order. I apologize for this being messed up. This trip came from no where and is putting a big monkey wrench in this SWAT training idea.
