What, in your opinion, is better. Gas, Electric, or Spring? Specifically for a rifle, what do you think is best and why?

Gas is good for pistols in my opinion only because gas you can really only use in the warmer months. IE Spring/summer. If you have access to a CQB house then you are good anyway.

AEG's are by far the best in my opinion. Not much maintenance (charging/discharging, and silicone spray every once in a while). They can be used all year round and even in the rain and snow.

Spring guns I would only suggest for a sniper rifle. It can be used year round with almost no maintenance. If you are looking and/or underage a spring hand gun may be the way to go. Some people play spring guns just for kicks and something different then a usual game.

Hope this helps.

Depends on what kind of rifle you are talking about. The M24 is a decent spring rifle, but must be upgraded to live up to its potential. AEG's will cut down springer-wielders faster than a chainsaw to a rotten tree, unless the spring guy has some serious skill. Gas rifles are nearly non-existent in this day and age, but several companies such as JAC produced them in the late 80's and early 90's. They are impressive pieces, but they are way more costly than an AEG and you have to pay consistently to power it.

Spring rifles can be found very cheap, from 20 bucks of the lesser-quality CYMA rifles, to over 100 bucks of the well-made Tokyo Mauri rifles. If you have 200 bucks or so, a good TM shotgun will not let you down and is well worth the money. Many people consider them to be the kings of the spring guns. Many sniper rifles are spring operated as well. And guess what, you dont have to charge a battery or gas it up.

Electric guns are by far the most commonly used. Dont let the 250-400 dollar price tag scare you, its worth the cash. Plus, you have full-auto capabilities and if the gun breaks, parts are easily found in most cases.

IMHO, I think you would be better off getting an AEG if you want to skirmish. Spring guns, because of their cost, are a good way to get started into the sport, but some of the higher quality pieces can compete just as fine as an AEG if you are an accurate shooter. Gas rifles are pretty hard to come by, but they are impressive pieces as well. I wont speak further on them, as my information is limited.
