Team Ronin is planning on hosting our third installment of our Outbreak series next year hopefully sometime in July at Battlefront in Hubbard, Ohio. Now we are putting this out there very early because we want to host an amazing event for everyone that attends.
Now before I go any further, if you are not interested in any ZOMBIE games, just turn away now and please do not make any unwanted comments, I will just ask the Mods to have them removed. This thread's sole purpose is to be constructive, not hear about how stupid zombie games are.
As it stands we will be using most of the same rules from our previous Outbreak games, because they have proven successful, however on the same note we will be making some changes. People that attended the last two Outbreaks will be a big help for us and what changes will be needed to make the game flow better.
I have to say i was a zombie game skeptic till i went to oubreak 2. Very fun game and still very challenging.

Totally psyched. I've been waiting for the third since the second.
I think I've already given some suggestions to a few of you guys in person, so I apologize if this is redundant.
Really my only significant complaint about Outbreak 2 was the lack of zombies. I know everyone, myself included, wants to shoot zombies a lot more than they want to be a zombie. The upshot, of course, is that there weren't all that many zombies, and when one did poke his head out there were 5 people just waiting to light him up. They practically weren't a threat.
I had a couple ideas. They may or may not work with what you had in mind, but I thought I'd throw them out there.
First, you could potentially let full time zombies in free. I know Battlefront is expensive though, so I don't know if that would work for you guys financially. But it would make it more practical for players to drag their friends along, even if they aren't airsofters. I know a lot of people who might be willing to run around and get shot at for a day, but wouldn't be willing to pay for the honor.
Second, it might be cool if you gave every player a designated time when they have to be a zombie. You could just tell them at registration that they'll be a zombie between this time and that time. So when that time arrives, they just become a zombie. But they wouldn't be allowed to tell anyone about it beforehand, so they would get the opportunity to surprise their squad mates. It might introduce a level of chaos into the game.
Just my thoughts. I'm confident either way that it'll be an awesome game. The last one was.

The first idea is meh unless it wont hurt them financially.
BUT
The second is an amazing idea.. You never know when someone is going to become a zombie... It could be your team mate and you have to gun him down :( That would add so much suspense to this game.
Please act on this one. FANTASTIC.. KUDOS for the idea good sir!

Ruff Neck here is Outbreak 2's storyline and rules. Outbreak 3 will have some new rules, but will follow in the shadow of the first 2
Sponsored by:

One year after the first outbreak, the undead still walk. The last of the S.T.A.R.S. are too weak to fight back the zombie horde, and the civilians have taken up arms to protect themselves. Umbrella Corporation is still lurking in the near by area, still running experiments and annihilating anyone who gets in their way. There are two groups of civilians that have been fighting for their lives to survive everyday. One group is a band of road warriors that travel from city to city, doing smash and grabs for supplies. The other group of civilians are the remnants of the previous inhabitants of the city, who will fight off anyone who dares to endanger their survival. Unfortunately for these three groups they will cross paths on Sunday November 9th. Objectives are simple, survive….
We learned a lot from the first Outbreak, so this year will be a lot smoother and we will have more surprises in store for everyone. We will set up forums for all teams once we have Team leaders set up, also at this time objectives will be posted. There will be four teams at this event; Sunbury Civil Guard (SCG), Wolverines, Umbrella Corporation Soldiers, and of course the ZOMBIES. We have a few special games that will be played, and there will be in game items to enhance game play.
UBCS is full.
There will be remnants of S.T.A.R.S. members roaming the field keeping order, these are our event officials.

ONLINE REGISTRATION ENDS THURSDAY NOVEMBER 6th AT MIDNIGHT
There will be a $5 cover for all full time zombies, but be aware being a full time zombie does mean that you will be getting shot all day at possible point blank, I would strongly advise full face protection, multiple layers, and gloves. Full seal goggles are STILL REQUIRED if you are wearing a laytex mask, the potential for being shot in the eye still exists.

Uniform Requirements
SCG- Civilian top, Green based bottoms
Wolverines- Civilian top, Tan based bottoms
UBCS- Black fatigues (TEAM FULL)
Zombies- Be creative, must have blood on it
Gear Restrictions/Requirements
There will be no chest rigs, vests, M.O.L.L.E. gear, or military gear allowed for civilians; although law enforcement gear (minus tactical vests) is allowed. You are civilians, ordinary people would most likely not have these items. Only UBCS will be allowed to have military gear. Civilians are allowed to have backpacks, fanny packs, hydro packs (backpack style), pistol holsters, and be creative with what you bring, this is supposed to be post apocalyptic. PM if you have any questions. Everyone MUST have a SLING. No M203's please. Grenades are allowed, BUT they must shoot BB's out of them, and if you are hit by a BB grenade call yourself out, and anyone else within 5 feet.
Infection Rules
Infection rules are as followed, a zombie must two hand touch a living person for 30 seconds will turn them into a zombie. Neither player the infected nor infector (person infecting) may be killed during this period or move, unless in a dangerous area. Zombies must have a bright colored face wrap on (will explain at field) to show that they are zombies. If anyone would like to volunteer as a zombie please contact me or RYUU2600.
Zombie Rules
Zombies must walk, except for on last life they can run
Zombies are not allowed to hide during 1st game, zombies are not sneaky, they lurk, so pray to catch someone off their guard
Zombies are not tactical, so don't bypass your own teammates to get an enemy team member infected
Zombie hit rules
Any zombie hit three times, whether in a row or over time, will be down for one minute, and then be back in the game. After three "deaths" the zombie may respawn as a human, at their respawn point. Zombies MUST walk, with one exception; on your third zombie "life" you are allowed to run. Since we are playing by the honor system I expect all of you to follow this rule. A single shot from a SHOTGUN will kill a normal zombie instantly.
Last year multiple people had 3 round burst shotguns and zombies did not go down, so if someone shoots you with a shotgun you are dead (again).
New Editions
There are many new editions to this years Outbreak, there are many that we will not inform everyone of until the briefing, meaning if you are not present for the briefing you will not know the special rules.
Our newest editions are our experimental mutants: Such as Lickers and Hunters.
Last years Nemesis rules are being replaced also.
The rules are as follows:
Each mutant will have a pie tin on their chest and back, representing a vulnerable spot on the mutant, a certain number of shots must hit the given area to take the mutant down. These shots will require a certain amount of accuracy, due to the size of the hit zone. Now you can shoot them in other places, but that will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! except for piss them off...
Lickers will have a 9" pie tin on the chest and back, and require 3 hits to it before it will go down for 2 minutes. Wondering why it is so easy? That is because the Lickers will be RUNNING at you while you are attempting to frantically blast them in the chest. Now I have hand chosen my fastest runners who are also good at distance running. Lickers unlike normal zombies are allowed to hide, due to their heightened intelligence.
Hunters are a tougher, but slower mutant, that will require 5 hits to a 3" pie tin on their chest and back. Hunters will not run but they will require more to take them down. Not as hard as the Lickers but still how many rounds do you have in your mag?
Finally everyones favorite mutant the NEMESIS. Nemesis is back but with new rules. Nemesis will require 8 hits to a 3" pie tin on his chest ONLY. It is not the Nemesis' goal to kill everyone, but to keep you on your toes and moving. The nemesis once again will be rockin a SAW, and when the Nemesis touches you it only requires 1 hand and you are a zombie instantly. Basically what I am trying to say is STAY AWAY FROM THE NEMESIS!!!!
Now there are only 6 mutants total, I will not give specifics on how many of each, these are all Team Ronin members, and they know what their job is specifically, and they are in the game for added suspense and thrill.
Human hit rules
If a human is hit they may be healed by one of their designated medics. If not reached by a medic, but reached by a zombie they will instantly become a zombie. If not reached by zombie or medic within five minutes they may go to their respawn point and respawn.
Medic Rules
The knot system will be used for the medic system.
You get three knots in your rope, after three knots you are dead and need to respawn.
5 minute bleed out
Only medics can tie knots.
Standard movement rules apply.
Respawn
We will have Imbedded Ronin members as a mobile respawn point, they will not be able to be turned into zombies, but the will have to get out of dodge if it gets too hot. This way you don't have to walk the entire field all day
Last 30 minutes of game Note:
During the last 30 minutes of the game to simulate a more realistic zombie survival game environment, there will be no respawning, and if you are a zombie you will be a zombie until the game is over. Also note that if you are shot and no medics or zombies get to you within 5 minutes you are automatically a zombie. You may still run upon you 3rd zombie "life" and then restart the count over. We are going on the honor system big time, i know most people don't want to be zombies but there will be people that are being zombies all day and you will just have to be it for 30 minutes straight if that. I figure we will see how many people can hold out for 30 minutes if any....
Final Run
Since everyone liked the evac so much last year we decided to do it again this year, but we are helping the zombies out this time. Teams will have to run to designated areas where a convoy will be waiting to pick them up, the unfortunate part is that there will be zombies and mutants in between them. All infection rules are 1/2 of there normal and zombie down time is 1/4, yes that means infection only takes 15 seconds, and zombies only stay down for 15 seconds, OH and also zombies can always run... So we will see if the old saying runs true, "It doesn't matter how fast you can run as long as you run faster than the slowest person." If you come in contact with a mutant you instantly become a zombie.
MEDs
There are no field MEDs, but we do not want any headshots, and no arm length shots. SEMI auto only
FPS
375fps is the max, nothing over will be allowed, due to extremely close range shots. (We increase the FPS from last year)
350fps indoors
Bring an empty mag to the chrono we will chrono with our BBs
Ammo limits
200 rounds total (AEG)
Unlimited ammo loaded for pistols and shotguns only
NO HI CAPS ALLOWED!!! We will have M Series, MP5, G36, AK, and AUG mid caps that will be available to BORROW with a $5 per mag security deposit; you will get back your money when the mag is returned in proper shape, at the end of the event. This offer is first come first serve, must PM myself or RYUU2600 for mags.
NO LOOSE AMMO is to be carried on the field.
The will be a lot of spare ammo will be on field to be found, along with ammo inside of objectives, and there will be ammo on role player zombies, but you must collect it off their dead bodies.
If the weather is too cold for GBB to be used, the ammo limit will be raised from 200 rds to 300 rds for AEGs, but thats only if the temp. is below 50 degrees
Bio BB's only
Knife kills
No Knife killing zombies
No simulated knife kills on zombies either
Age
14+
Must have a player vouch for you if your under 18.
FULL FACE PROTECTION is strongly suggested for anyone under 18. There will be many close quarters situations and we do not want anyone losing a tooth. It should be known by now that shop glasses and mesh masks are not proper eye protection. We would really like it if anyone under 18 would wear a mouth guard so that you do not lose any teeth, we will be selling them, but you can buy them at wal-mart for cheap, and they will not fog up your goggles...
A sling is required due to the fact that in order to infect other you must use two hands. Also when infected you must take your mag out.
A flashlight is highly recommended due to the buildings being fairly dark.
REFs will be walking the field for safety reasons.
We would also like to warn everyone that there may be some hazards on the field, and we want everyone to be safe, do not run into anything, or twist your ankle in a rut (sorry about that Delta, hope your ok). The field is overgrown and looks like a zombie outbreak has occurred. IMPORTANT NOTE!!! THERE ARE MANY LADDERS ALL AROUND THE FIELD, DO NOT CLIMB UP ANY, IF YOU ARE CAUGHT CLIMBING ON THEM YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE FIELD.
Doors will also be marked off and that shall not be opened, also if the door is locked do not unlock it, do not close doors or move them either.
!!!!UPDATES!!!!
Full field will be in use! Minus big room in main complex, and all 2nd stories and up.
Role Player vehicles will be in use

I am under 18 and this is the first major game I will be attending. I don't know any players over 18 and reading the age requirements for Outbreak 2, it seems I cannot get vouched by another player. I am not sure if this will be changed for Outbreak 3, but I would really like to attend and I am not sure if I can under these rules. Could someone please clarify whether or not I am elligible to attend Outbreak 3.
And that was just outbreak 1 and 2 lol.

Would a CYMA or Echo 1 M14 be good to use in these games? I am planning on getting one plus some mid-caps. I am pretty sure they shoot around 360-370 fps (though I may be wrong, I have never personally fired one). Sorry about all the questions, I have never attended a game like this.

This is going to be absolutely amazing. How exactly do you receive an invite for the UBCS?
Ghost1186
03-11-2010, 08:29 PM
You must know me..... :D
And you must have the correct gear for the job, and attitude and teamwork is key piece. The UBCS team has actually almost been completely assembled, so everyone just focus on ICU and the Civilian forces, they will have a fun time and equally hard objectives. Also you must remember this is not a milsim event, even though the UBCS and ICU will be military units and will be forced to follow their a strict code of conduct. This game is also meant to be fun and scary, there will be no similiar event most likely held this year.
In these kinds of games you can go from a 3 way fire fight to running for your life from a horde of zombies. The game requires a lot of teamwork and physical ability, there will be a lot of running.
