Age Limit Poll

Ok, I'll take the lead in this. Here are the options for setting a minimum age limit for events:

18, no exceptions
18, all others on a case by case basis
16, no exceptions
16, all others on a case by case basis
14, no exceptions
14, all others on a case by case basis
12, no exceptions
12, all others on a case by case basis
11, no exceptions
10, no exceptions

We've already talked thru the subject, NOW VOTE!!!!!

Also, its nice that you've created a poll but ultimately its up to the Event Organizers. Even then, Event Organizers might be bound to the rules set up by the field owner. Futhermore, its hard to tell exactly how much of the AO population would be ruled out by a rule such as this which may or may not drastically reduce the amount of active players in the community.

Also, limit was ten options and I believed it was important to make an option(s) for case by case basis.

Is there a huge diffrence between 13 and 14?

Also, it is up to the organizers and more importantly the field you are playing at. But, the purpose of this is to see what public sentiment is for the diffrent age groups.

If you truly believe in age 13, either way, post your opinion and I will tally the numbers when the poll ends.

He we held that night game at BF and the kids there were very mind full on most of the rules. I think most of them were around 13-16. they all played honorable in my opinion.

I say that as long as the kid holds his own and behaves like he actually wants to be there It shouldn't matter matter what age he is...but I do know where you guy's are coming from I've seen the type of kids your talking about but I don't think that you should punish the rest of of those kids because of an immature few.

i voted 12 cuz im 13 and have a 12 year old brother and he is just as good as me. weve been playin backyard for a year and are smart about the game. we dnt have cheap walmart guns either. i hate when people come with walmart guns.i have a tokyo marui m4 s-system and he has a echo1 p90(plans on getting a high grade in not too long). i think there should be a gun exeption or something, ive seen 14-16 year olds have walmart guns so age will not comepletly stop walmart guns.that would not be fair for either of us not being aloud to play when we know about the game, we are mature and we know how to act when playing in a event.

I agree, AO does not have the power to change the field owners rules(if this is what you guys are trying to do) If it is, well then i think the few that want this need to open there owne field and play by yourselves.

That logic works in most instances. However this poll refers to a particular set of games where by the attendees are all organizing the games.

Hence this poll is to figure out what the organizers want.

This shouldn't be confused with a poll trying to change aos rule set. Rather a rule set agreed upon by a group of people whom play together regularly.

"I" see neo as a way to help coach younger players or inexperienced players. I'd like a system by where younger or new players can interact with attending teams and bare wittness as to how it's done before being let loose on their own.

I propose we have a underage sign up prior to every neo game and accept the first 30 players who sign up. first come first serve. Whomever is managing the neo open for the day can give them the thumbs up or down. Minors should also be given an identifier so people can focus on teaching them the right way rather then hauling off and getting mad. .. just kicking ideas around here.

I think if we were to somehow change the rules (which I don't think is possible) it would be unfair to people like me (being 15 in a week) who have a level of maturity above some people older than us. No sense in crying over casual fun. In fact I'm currently working on plans for a pneumatic baseball cannon (tell me that doesn't require maturity). But I do agree that some people will be awful no matter what their age and we can't stop it. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were 17 and 18 and would we want them showing up at our events?

hey umm I'm 13 years old and I take airsoft very sieriously.

I have an Echo 1 M16A4 and I wear BDU's and I take this stuff for real.

I can prove it too I want to go to the Walsh Farms game on Sunday the 13th with my dad and you can see that this is one of my favorite things to do. I hate to those 14-15 year olds who use wal-mart guns and I'm not one of them.

can you guys please make an exception for me??

I do think that it's funny that some of the younger players who checked in confused weapon price with maturity.. I've played with grown men with $1000+ TM customs whose maturity was well eclipsed by a teen rocking a Wal*Mart special.
