203 and I both live in the same neighborhood in the Mason/Deerfield area and we have a place to play. We also have a small group of friends that we play with there also.

If there is a field in Mason, someone should hold an event there and get it put on the event section.

If I knew of a field in Mason I would hold the event there and get it on the board.

An embarassing moment for Scorpion: The field that I have been playing at for the last 3 years is right behind his house, and he never knew about it :D

About hosting an event... I would love to at a future time but first I want to see how many could make it. Go onto facebook and join the group "Mason Airsofting". There we post games and other news. If we can get enough of you guys to join and get good games going I would love to post a relaxed event.

Nice to see that there are so many people in the Mason area. So now I know who to contact if 203 and I are planning a small match though they will be limited to about 15 to 20 players.

I found the farm house and wooded area I was told about in Mason. It sure is a hike to get there, but from what I saw, with a little brush clearing and some safety improvements, we could host 15-20 people. anymore and it will get cramped.

If anyone local to the Mason area wants to help me clear out the old farm house, we'll need tools to remove debris/nails/metal work, hang wood boards on the walls, and cut away shrubbery around the building to make trails.

I'm thinking brush trimming tools, shovels, rakes, hammers, chain cutters, and a ladder will be able to clear everything out there in about 2-3hrs. then we could have a safe and fun place to play in. So who's up for some heavy lifting for a weekend :)

Haha Scorpion good luck. Ive tried to get that place cleaned up several times but you never really realize just how much there is to do until you get started.

But hey if your really willing to go out there for a few hours I would be glad to help. The field really could use some cleaning up. Let me know when.

Hahahaha. I'd care to help but I'll be out of town. However I'll benefit from the fruits if your labor as I'd love to come wreck some kiddies.

FYI - 513Firefly, 513Sherman and myself are planning on holding a small game in Franklin, OH on Saturday, August 8th. If you live right in the Mason area and are looking for a small, laid back game it may be the place for you. We will be capping the event on a certain number of people so PM me if you're serious about playing.

This is not going to be an extremely serious event and as such there is no field fee or anything of that nature. We aren't sure what the magazine restrictions will be but there will certainly not be any BDU restrictions. Nothing is 100% set in stone and everything is subject to change so no guarantees. We will definitely cancel if the weather is poor as well. You will need to contact me with any other questions or details.

As far as the field, we mainly play in a large Ravine area with several "hills" but there is also a surrounding dry field with varying degrees of shrubs and woods and field.

Remember, this is a private game so PM me if you would like to play. Don't complain. I'm thinking 10 on 10 is probably the max with as many as 7 or 8 slots already taken or as little as 2 or 3, depending on who we hear from in our small group of players. Please send me a PM if you are serious about playing.

mkeller, thanks but go post that in the upcoming events section with details, this thread is for the field in Mason now. :)

As for everyone else, I am planning on this cleanup happening AFTER August 10th since my team will be away at Thunder all that weekend beforehand. The following weekend, Aug 14-16th will be the cleanup weekend. So far we have almost all the tools we need. All we ask of people showing is to contribute $5 for gas money for the power equipment. We're going to need to run the equipment for at least 9 hours.

The plan for now is,

Clear the main trail to the field (2 hours)
Clear all debris/metal work/dangerous pieces from house(2 hours)
Clear 4 trails into and around the main house from the woods(3 hours)
Build bunkers from the cut down tree limbs/building debris(2 hours)

I will have one teammate with me starting at the crack of dawn saturday morning. We'll be bringing water and food with us so we won't be leaving the site once we get there. If you plan to come help, come prepared to not stop and get this field knocked out in one day.

If you're coming to help us bring the following for yourself -

Full water supply you can wear/carry
Full Lunch
Gloves
Boots
Kneepads(optional but recommened)
Goggles
Serious motivation
$5 for gas to run the equipment

If you're coming with tools we need -

Shovels(1 for each person would be great)
Rakes(1 for each person would be great)
Wheels barrows(3 would be great)
Hammers/Nail removal tools(5 would be great)
Tree trimming cutter/bolt cutter (2 would be great)

Ok gents, PM me with your phone numbers and I'll give you all the details of how to get here and when we're doing it. I hope you all show because it's gonna be a kick *** field when we're finished. Albeit only for 30people max, but 30 people for free is better than nothing!

Not trying to hijack your thread or anything Scrop, just trying to get the word out to local peeps. Since its a private game, posting an entire event is probably not the best idea. Good luck to you guys with the field and I look forward to gunning out there with you guys if everything does eventually go fully operational.

Scorpion, I will be there to help clean up. I even stabbed myself with all for the glass in the ground.
Also, now that everyone knows where this field is, lets try to stop people (or don't tell non-airsofters about this field) from coming out randomly and doing bad things like vandalism, drugs, drinking, etc. RESPECT THE GAME

This is not going to be an actual event is it? Or just a fun get together.

There is no play expected at this cleanup. Only hard work and repairs on the buildings. Refer the my above post for what to expect. Also I haven't revealed the actual location of the field nor will I to anyone but those players I choose to invite to the games. This is our play area, it is not meant for public knowledge.

I advise all of you who already know the location to NOT speak of it to anyone but us fellow players.

Scorpion, I sent you a PM but I'm not sure if you actually got it about my weekend schedule. I am willing to assist in the clean up but that Saturday doesn't work for me because we'll be at Valley Creek, and after that event its my father's 50th birthday party.

I couldn't agree more, Scorpion. The Farmer gave us special permission to go there, but only under certain terms. I don't think that he would appreciate if all of Cincinnati's airsofters turned up on his land and broke his rules. I have no doubt that he would have no problem telling us to stay off his property.

I'm in Blue Ash for the Ssummer and if i didn't work on Saturdays I'd help with the cleanup. But when will you guys be playing once it's cleaned up and everything? I work Friday nights, all day Saturday, and Sunday mornings, but any other time I'm available.

this place is a great place to play.. been playing and training there for years.. Both me and cyper and a few other people host big games there. We've had up towards 30 people there at a time and it really wasn't bad. Scorpion we usually play in the creek next to the patch of trees in the middle of the field so you can have more than 20 people and play with enough room for everyone

If you can tell me a date and time, I live near Covington Ky, and I know some people who could come up some time. Only a couple questions, tho. 1. Does out quality of gun matter? 2. is there a specific age you want. PM me with any answers, and I look forward to seeing you in battle sometime!
