i was wondering what you guys thought of the upgraded KSC glock 18c or the standard KWA cause i heard the KWA has the upgrade automatically. i really want the upgrade cause i hear it makes it more reliable. if anyone has one or knows about them your suggestions would be great. thanks.

45,
Not all KWA's are "upgraded" as a part of its standard construct. Most retailers tend to sell them "pre-upgraded" with a metal slide and outer barrel (leaving out other critical small component upgrades) simply because the stock KWA is very low in price, and the addition of a metal slide and outer barrel kit that is just as lowly priced for them turns this item into something that many consumers are willing to pay "more" for, thus raising their margin of profit.
With both models, they are comparable in terms of performance, durability, and reliability as long as they are both upgraded to the same extent.

g18c's are an excellent choice for the new and experienced airsofter, very easy to maintain, and simple enough to fix. The L2, metal slide upgraded valves and recoil guide etc, gives it a truely awesome level of power, range, and not to mention great recoil (granted these are all dependant of the gas, me and several other l2 g18c owners like to use top gas) basically if you invest in the L2 G18c you will not be dissapointed in reliability, and power that this awesome gbb has to offer.
Note: I'm writing this with the ksc g18c L2 using top gas, in mind.

Just a quick tag-on to almega's post.
Remember that such "Levels" of upgrades are retailer/seller-denoted, and are not truly indicative of any particular set of parts in the replica nor exactly how it has been upgraded.
For example, an X retailer "Level 2" mod may only include enough parts to qualify it as a "Level 1" mod for another seller.
It is imperative that the shopper check, for themselves, EXACTLY what parts have been replaced/upgraded per each replica purchased!

Perhaps a 'Level mod guide for G18c' could be posted/ created..
This is just based on information that "I" have read, not actually experianced, as I am still getting used to G18cs. My GUESS as to the mod levels of them are:
Level 1:
Stock. No additions to it at all.
Level 2:
Metal slide
Metal outer barrel
Metal recoil guide/return spring
Upgraded valves for magazines
Upgraded Hammer spring
Level 3:
TM inner barrel
Silencer + screwthread outer barrel to attach it to.
Replaced ermmmm something else! :D
Please, please correct this. As i am unsure as to what is considered a 'level upgrade'
And on that thought, perhaps slowly a guide could also be created for the other popular guns/marques out there
(such as level upgrades for the favourites such as the KSC beretta series, WA beretta series etc etc ad infinitum!... )
And im guessing that this list would exclude things such as cosmetics, and work on the physical performance things such as the mods above and or the metal bodies that are available for various GBBs

i've got the L2 (metal slide + hurricane kit) and its very very satisfying and got me a few kills at cm2, chrono's in at 315 fps with .23 bb's (using top gas). I highly reccomend firing one in person, you wont need us to tell you the benefits and reliability etc, you'll just want it right then ;)

All,
What I meant is not to correct any one of you -- but rather, to remind EVERYONE that such "levels" are the semantic and artificial constructs of their SELLERS.
Thus, a "Level 1" upgrade at retailers X and Y may actually contain "Level 2" parts that are seen with AA and BB retailers.
Each individual buyer must look at their own chosen retailer, and either figure out or directly ask THAT RETAILER what their own "levels" of upgrades include.
=)
These "Levels" are generic.
It's not unlike going to your local gas station and filling up with 93 octane gasoline. While your local gas station may call this "Supreme," another gas station down the road may call their 92 octane gas "Supreme," and their 93 octane gas "Ultimate."
You canNOT just look at the term "Level 1," "Level 2," and "Level 3" and just outright assume that it will contain X or Y modifications -- this will vary by retailer and seller. "Supreme" and "Ultimate" has no meaning outside of just that gasoline station chain, right?
What you need to do is to look at the exact parts that are included FOR YOUR RETAILER -- look at the "octane rating."

thx allen ;)
Im not trying to create a case of "this G18c from X is better than one from Y" comments.
I hear bandied around 'level 1 this, level 2 that', and I really wasn't 100% on what is actually meant by them.
So I was trying to work out what is the common or player perception of a 'Xlevel' mod, and what it consisted of, and not of something from (as an example) UNCompany; their KSC Tactical G18c, and whatever level mod that UNCompany considers it to be..
dats all..
