whats in your vest

well i am new to airsoft (as my name suggests) and I was wondering what kind of stuff you guys put in your vests. I have just a standard LBV. My ak mags dont fit in them so I was wondering if you guys had any suggetions on what I should have in it.

Well, this is my main loadout
LBV-88
3 bay Mp5 mag pouch - M-16 for m16 mags when using an m16 and g3/ak for the g3 and ak obviously lol
2 m-16 mag pouches

The lbv, i normally use the outside ones since they are a bit bigger for clamped mp5 mags, and the inside for radio, and other mags, or bb's
A few times on hot days, ive put bottles of pop and cans in them to carry

My m-16 mag pouch in one, I put my speed loader for loading standard mags on the field, and the other more mags

Obviously, the bay mag pouches, i put mags in

and Buttpack, food, bb's, gas, pistol, etc. basically whatever else you need

AK, I'm fairly new myself, but I imagine your load will depend on your style of play.

Run n' gun play (no restriction on mags, etc.) you can pretty much carry whatever you want.

If you're playing under MILSIM restrictions (or just want to be "hooah") you may be carrying a radio, extra batteries, a bunch of standard cap mags, etc.

I carry 3 MP5 mags, a compass, a multi-tool knife, an additional "pocket screwdriver" thingy, a jacket (soon to be replaced/supplemented) by a poncho...and when I start doing truly hard core MILSIM, I'll probably add more mags, flashlight with filters and sundry other items.

FYI, Cheaper than Dirt had a AK chest pouch doohickey in their latest catalog. Carries 6 AK mags in three pocket and has 4 additional smaller pockets. Cost was $12. Goes across your midriff like those old NVA chest rigs. Might be the ticket for your AK ammo needs! LOL

I have found that probably the most important thing i carry in my vest is a multi tool. For some reason whenever i'm in the middle of a skirmish something always comes loose on my aeg and needs to be tightened down, or somebody else needs it to fix a quick problem. Untop of that i carry my death rag, 3mp5 mags, or 5m16 mags, sidearm, radio, and maybe some extra BB's if its a long game. When its NOT a MILSIM game i think people sometimes tend to load themselves down with as much as possible, and knowing from expirience on a hot summer day you want to be carrying as little as possible.

run n gun fo me, I wear vietnam tigerstripe, my vietnam boonie, my vietnam medics bag, (to carry my mags) and my vietnam combat boots,and of course my goggles, so as you people may notice, I keep it simple and vietnamish. Oh, and to keep this on topic, I tried my vest for a few games, and well now, I've decided not to even deal with one, when you do lots of crawling and rolling in a wooded area, they suck. they must be great for urban fighting though.I wouldn't know....

Depending on scenario 6-12 mags, most midcaps 3 low cap, extra battery, extra BB's, I also carry a multi tool, first aid kit, E&E kit for realism, 1 extra GBB mag, 50 feet of 550, small roll of 100mph tape in OD, zip ties(these have so many uses it's amazing) Big Knife on my belt, and usually an MRE or 2.

My guess is "Escape & Evasion" kit. Contents can vary wildly. If you're portraying a downed pilot, that would be a nice touch, but I would think most infantrymen, especially "elite" ones, would already carry items found in the typical E&E kit.

Compass, signalling mirror, water, a map, rations, something to start a fire with, a poncho, basic first aid items, etc., etc.

like to carry alot of ammo and grenades and water is important to.

It really depends on the type of game and length of the game.

For short 20 minute 5 on 5 or 10 on 10 games all you really need are a few mags.


For longer scenario type games that's when more consideration is needed.

One thing I've learned when playing paintball, airsoft or real world is what ever you think you'll need in ammo take some more.


For a 1/2 day or all day scenario I like to take the following with me

This is for an M4/M203 and P226 other weapons will require different loadouts accordingly.

I've got a So Tech Hellcat MKII with 6 TT Mag Shingles, 2 TT 3-Pistol Mag Pouches, 2 Custom SAW Pouches, 1 Smoke grenade pouch and a TT 203 panel.


Hellcat wiht the shingles holds 12 mags. I've got 3 on the gun which I'll dump in the empty saw when those are used . 6 pistol mags, 4 203 shells, 1 smoke if they're allowed.

Other SAW pouch throw in gloves, leatherman, powerbar whatever.

well I have some cheapo replica H Harness and belt and a few pouches. I carry 1 BB bottle with BBs and my TM mag loader and my magazines. That's all I need, maybe some first aid stuff incase I get a lil scratch or something.

I don't wear a vest I have a WWII German Belt, which my freinds and I all affectionately call the Nazi *** Pack. In it I carry my spare mags, Gas, ammo, extra battery just in case, and a few other random items, such as a picture of my girlfreind for luck, and a picture of Osama bin Laden for motivation. I mean, I may noy be a Nazi, but I like camo pattern, so I'm getting some BDUs to match my flecktarn.

I have my combat tac knife for what ever I need to cut. My gerber, 4 mags, extra battery, extra small flash light and extra batterys, my face paint, glow sticks for our night games, and a can of lube for my pistol. Depending on the game I sometimes take some of this stuff out or add more.
