Hello everyone!

I just got word that I have been approved to be a CTW dealer. I am now taking pre-orders for anyone interested in the new CTWs.

Amped Airsoft's Price on the CTWs will be $630.
For those pre-ordering, I will have to collect the money for the order up front before ordering. I am hoping to be able to place the order within 2 weeks.

More information on these weapons can be found at:
http://www.celciustechnology.com/

I will also be offering a 11.1v 1200mah 20C Lipo and Charger for the CTW. The cost of these will be $75 for the set. However, I will probably give a bit of a discount to CTW buyers when they purchase their CTW.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM me!
Thanks!
Angus

Congrats Angus! Glad to hear things are going well for Amped.

Congrats!

Also, from what it seems, the package does not include a battery and charger. Is that correct? And if so, how much do the battery and charger cost?

Thanks,
Radixz

That is correct. I was going to offer the firefly 1200mah 20C and charger as a pack and also separately. The cost for the Lipo 1200mah 20C Stick and charger will most likely be $75, which is on par with Evike. I am not sure what the stand alone stick will be.

I was following this on the PTW forums for awhile and it looked like it was rather sketchy. Did a reputable player ever give it a solid review? I don't want to hurt business for you but I don't want you or your customs to get hosed on it. Are you planning to get parts in as well or just full CTW's?

I will be getting in parts and I am also a Systema Dealer, so... I plan on having PTW and CTW parts in stock.

I saw a video review of the prototype. The guy seemed to be very pleased with it and said it was on par and very comparable to the Systema PTW that he owned. The only two parts he mentioned that he didn't like were that to insert the magazine you had to press down on the mag release button, and that the charging handle wasn't actually functional (it budges back about an inch but it's real purpose is to pull the cylinder out when you open the CTW up). Although that was the prototype so I'm sure they've fixed those problems.

Ah I see. For a while I thought it was Clone Training Weapon (Like a variant of Systema's) but that didn't seem right. Thanks.

I like Clone Training Weapon better.

Haha but it would never sell with that kind of a name Locututs!

From what I've read, though, they seem to be quality rifles, and I might have to consider saving up for one.

I recommend you wait for some unbiased reviews before saving up too much.

Well Kurt when you get them in let us know a thing or 2 about them. I'm very curious myself.

Will do, I plan on getting one myself to test. My team mate has been following these for a while and has been reading reviews and what not. He said that there are actually some PTW users that praise them over their own. For the price, it's worth a shot me thinks. I will definitely field it and see what I can do with them.

Of course Locutus. At this point, it would probably take me about a year to save up 600ish dollars anyways, so I have time to see how they turn out.

I'm interested in how compatible they are with the PTW. Reason, I would be interested in an upper for a DMR setup for my PTW lower.

Yeah, that right, I'm a PTW owner who's not hating the CTW.

Supposedly the CTW are completely compatible with PTW parts. Therefore, I would imagine that they would be backwards compatible. However, don't quote me on that. 8) If I get mine and you are at a game, we could try swapping uppers and see what happens if you would like. :)

Yeah, that right, I'm a PTW owner who's not hating the CTW.
I am sure this will be the case as time goes on. Especially if everything is what it seems to be.

I don't mean to **** on everyone's parade, but Kong had one pre-ordered and apparently when the retailer got them in stock they were sent back to celsius due to the low quality vs expectation and price. Anyone interested might want to consider that.

****in' CTW

Hmmm that is very disheartening to hear.... Which retailer did he order them through out of curiosity. I would like to talk to them to see what happened and see what I'm to expect. I hope that is not the case. 8(

I don't remember the name off the top of my head, he said it was in New York somewhere.I'll let him step in and say what needs to be said from here on out.

Not only for the dmr effect but assuming the CTW sells well and other variants are made like a cqbr or a full size m16 you could technically change from a m4 to a cqbr or something of it's like. Although them making different variants is still quite a bit off it's an interesting concept to consider. So likewise I don't neccesarily see the ctw as a bad. It's just another gun out there. If you don't like it no one is going to force you to buy it.

Hello everyone,

I was just posting up to let everyone know that my first CTW order has arrived. I have 3 in stock for those interested. 8) If you would like to come check them out, feel free to stop by! The price on these will be $620 before taxes (unlike the $630 before). Right now I do not have the stick Lipos for the stock tube, but will be getting them in shortly.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!

Thanks!
Angus
