What kind of tactics do you personally use with pistols? Seeing how this is not at all an opinion thread I see no reason for it to be closed, just people discussing different tactics they personally use to educate one another.

What kind of tactics do you personally use with pistols?

Odin, Using a pistol over a rifle means you have to adapt your play style to overcome limited magazine capacity, limited performance, and typically less range than an AEG.

That being said, serious players learn to use their environemnt to their advantage.

Much of the tactics I use when running with only a GBB have evolved from my time shooting competitively, my use of cover and concealment, and my countless hours practicing pistol drills.

Telling you what I do will not help you because you are not me. Telling you how I learned might not either. But lets start with the basics:

(1) Buy a GBB
(3) Buy spare magazines
(2) Learn how to shoot your GBB
(3) Practice shooting stationary targets
(4) Practice shooting moving targets
(5) Practice reloading your weapon
(6) Practice improving your reaction times
(7) Practice every day until you can instinctively point and shoot
(8) Bring that into the game and apply your knowledge tot he situation.

That sounds so easy. It's not. If you have no shooting discipline, you will fail. How do you develop that discipline? PRACTICE.

But the most basic concept is put yourself in a position to shoot the enemy. How you do that is largely up to you.

Yeah. Tactics discussions largely are a waste of time and effort. You develop tactics from experience. Telling someone how to think and react is an equally useless venture.

If you really want to learn, take your pistol to a game and play. Your education will be painful, but it will be valuable. There is no penalty apart from donning the kill rag and walking back to respawn.

I really see no reason for that thread to be closed, pistol tactics is a legitimate thread, and the thread wasn't for me in general, I've been shooting all my life and have my own tactics, and with that being said it doesn't mean I can't learn things and other people can't learn things. Getting help and making constructive threads is kind of what a forum is all about. Give me one real reason that the thread was closed other than I am the one that posted it, just because everyone is different doesn't mean that one person's tactics can NEVER work for other people. Discussion of tactics seems like a perfectly reasonable topic to post on an airsoft site.

Because you already asked that question previously and that thread was closed after it was answered. Posting an additional thread asking the same question is bound to get the thread closed.

Since you are accusing me of singling you out. A real reason it was closed. You asked the question before in another thread, it was answered. That thread was closed. Posting the same question over again means you are now making yourself a target to have your thread closed by posting a repetitive thread.
