Ruins Raiders AAR for June 13th 2009

Hey all,

I just want to thank everyone again for coming out today and having a great airsoft event. We had 26 players show up at the Ruins, which is a record, and we able to get a lot of games in during the event time. I want to thank team Car Ramrod for coming out, it was great to meet all of you guys, and for everyone else I hope to see you again. I am glad that we had some guys from far away (Cleveland) show up and a good group from Columbus too.

Import reminders, there will be a game next weekend like always. Also, there will an fps limit change, so keep an eye out for that. I am glad that we had no issues what so ever and I hope to see those who came out again. Thanks again!

Yeah man we play every weekend. Its the Ruins off of US 32 in Vinton County. If you look at the events notice there are instructions on how to get there. If you need more help then pm me.

First I would like to thank Team carRAMROD and Team PAC plus the lone gunman from Cleveland who joined The Ruins Raiders in our annual Saturday Game. We started off with some 3 team deathmatch and rotated starting positions from the south woodline, east and west sides of the building. As Raiders players had to leave for other commitments we split the players in 2 groups, started east/west and duked it out for a few more rounds of intense CQB.

Thanks to Team PAC we found out that the gun that started our whole FPS problems, our "hardest hitting gun" (we suspected 450fps), actually chrono'd in at 360fps with .2g rounds. So we are defintely going to have MAX FPS changes coming up sooner than we thought. Half of the home team didn't show or didn't bring their primary weapons due to mechanical failures so when we can chrono our whole teams weapons we expect to see a MAX of 400fps for indoor.

Lastly I would like to remind all you readers about our event on the 20th! I encourage everyone to check out the pictures and talk to those who attended todays event. RSVPs would be appreciated but not necessary. The consensus we came to is we should start the event at 10am to maximize playing time and make it BYOB. Bring your own bbq. We are going to have a grill, ice cold drinks and post game festivities.

Thanks and many kudos to the Ruins Raiders,from team PAC we had a great time today guys.I had some reservations about this game as I have some younger members that are dieing for event play but I feared their safety also.We brought 10 people with flash our camera person to check you out ,man what a great time we had at your awesome field most of the safety issues I had were already addressed as far as the structure and with the chrono we performed we see are weapons are not always what they say out the box and really doesn't need to be"hot",I saw less injuries,less face shots and less crying than most events that I have attended, we will defiantly be back many times,teams just don't get enough of this kind of intense CQB.Thanks again, see you in my sights

had a great time today! I think most of us from carRAMROD will be back for more next week. Thanks to TheMechanic and 79stangghia (and others) for organizing this. Met some great guys out there today and im lookin forward to trading plastic in the future. Thanks ozzclan for the great pics!

Curses, curses, and more curses! I really wish I could have been there, it's the first game I've missed and look at all the fun that was had without me. Ah well, I'll surely be there next Saturday to get my game on. I'm glad everyone had a good time, and see? I told you guys we weren't crazy :)

And yes Alex, we host games every weekend. It's a frickin' really good time, and like Firedog said, the CQB is intense. You couldn't ask for a better building for it.

Had a great time ill be there this comming week. Im bringing a riot shield for the hallways to throw a little twist in the games.
