Good afternoon all,
I thought I would share a pleasant experience I had today with a retailer I discovered as a sort of "diamond in the rough".
I took my family to Trader's World Flea market today just because we wanted to get out and do something and none of my friends were home at 1pm. I came across a couple of airsoft vendor booths inside and just out of curiosity I popped my nose in and had a look around. For the sake of the forum rules I wont comment on one of the vendors. But I will comment on the other one and hopefully send some business his way.
First off the name of this guy's place is called DinaHobbies.
I wasn't sure what to think when I stopped in his shop as he had some things in there that frankly caters to the average flea market goer. But he had 2 large banners signifying he is an official G&G and Echo1 retailer. So I ignored the swords and the cheap flea market stuff and made a bee line straight to the wall of G&G and Echo1s.
He had a smaller collection on the wall but he seemed to have a lot of back stock of what he did have out. So I caught his attention and asked him a few questions, and found out he hadn't been there all that long. I say a few pieces that caught my attention and asked him the prices.
His prices are essentially the same as some of the bigger online retailers like airsoftgi. But the nice thing was when i was talking to him he offered to come down on the price. This piqued my interest so I picked him for more info. Turns out he was willing to come down quite a bit off the price of his stuff.
I figured if the guy was offer to come down on a price while i was just chatting with him, I might as well help the guy out. So I decided to purchase something. I decided on an Echo1 Vector Arms MP5 RIS. He originally listed it for $175 (same price as most online prices i've seen) and offered to come down to $150 and no sales tax.
Not only did I get a good price on an airsoft gun, he also threw in 5000 round of precision ground G&G .2g BBs AND an upgraded battery charger that charges in half the time of the stock charger and has an indicator light that goes from red to green when the battery is fully charged.
I was FLOORED by the hospitality of the owner Jason. Even after coming down on price he threw in all the extras for free. I walked away from there extremely happy. His customer service was top notch and the extra things he did for me as a patron were above what i would have expected.
He does have a website:
www.dinahobby.com
The website is still under construction in some aspects, but he does have quite a few pieces on his site. But honestly, if you are in the area on weekends, I recommend to anyone to visit him in person.
