my frend is lookin into gettin a sniper soon, and i want one eventually, wat would be the best spring sniper for under 100 bucks, wat r the options besides a super9. i dont want to go to gas.

It's the general concensus that the Super 9 sucks, royally. Most people recomend that you either get a UHC MP5SD3 (a decent, and cheap spring rifle) any TM spring rifle, or just save your money and get a APS2/M40/etc....

i already have an hfc mp5, i like it more thn the uhc's., i kick all the dudes with the uhc's a$$es.

You can get the super 9, but dont expect much out of it, life wise or performance wise. If you're going up against a bunch of springers, you can probably do ok. Just know that its reliability is poor at best. Alot of them break pretty quickly, and those who attempt to upgrade them just kill the longengevity of the rifle.

Bascially, you can get the Super 9, just dont expect much from it, you really get what you pay.

ok, i dont no much about the super9, i had a uhc pistol, the m9, it was great, but i dropped it once it now it doesnt work, thats y i didnt get the sd3, plus the hfc has a much larger clip, because i didnt want to waist the money if it wil break, but is an mp5 really good for sniping, it is accurate, but i never really thought of it as a sniper, wat about those other guns u metioned, like wer can i get them and how much r they.

I had a UHC MP5SD3 a few years back and I loved it. Shoots hard and pretty straight. Also, it was pretty cheap (you can get them for like $40-$50).

The TM rifles can be found here in Ohio at www.combatdepot.com for around $120, which means you only need to save just a little more :) Honestly, a TM spring rifle will last much longer than a Super 9, and you'll probabyl like it more too :D

thanks, i would rather own a tm over a uhc any day, i will check them out. i need t save for awhile to get it, i just bought the hfc mp5, and a bunch of stuff to go with it.

this is the one sad thing about airsoft. when i first started, sniping was what i really wanted to do, but just unrealistic for how much i wanted to spend. for a good sniper rifle you need $300-400 base plus whatever else u need for upgrades, scope, accessories, ect... sniping was what origio0nally drew me to the hobby, but u will b ineffective with enything less that $500 worth of a quality sniper rifle. save up, it would be worth it.

You said that you dropped one of your previous springers and it broke...Well It's not a sniper rifle but it works well and takes a light beating like drops and stuff like that...Walther P99 Springer I actually have one I'm looking to get rid of possibly soon.(The gun, mock silencer, and total of 3 mags) I doubt if you're interested seeing as how you're looking for the sniper fix but, PM me if you are at all interested.

Also I picked up the gun +silencer + ammo + 1 mag for about $30. Works well and shoots at about 260fps.

That's cool, and yep it's a pistol, the Walther P99 mines by HFC.


Lets see I got the gun + silencer + one mag and 100 rounds that came with it for about $30

then I bought 2 extra mags for about $7 a piece so about $14 for the extra mags
adding up to a grand total of about $44

(With shipping and everything I gave about $63)

So I guess I could let it go for about $30 roughly, but it's flexable so OBO.

Also I have the invoices still if you'd like to see them.

hopefully an M16A2 upgraded to 350 FPS and full metal, with silencer and scope. Over time of coarse.

I would personally get the spring TM M16A1, and add a scope and a bipod. Performs better than the S9, and I know that it is over 100 smackerz, but at http://www.projectairsoft.us they will have it pretty darn cheap. So, that's my advice.
