I was thinking about organizing a milsim game soon, and i was wondering of any tips of what to do, and what not to do. Some big questions are:

1: Are gear restrictions a good idea ie, terrorists can only carry aks, g36s, rpks, g3s ect. and must wear a shemagh or balaclava/ski mask.

2: How far would most of you travel?

3: Are vehicles a good idea? (with drivers license and no alcohol or drugs)

4: Do grenades shoot, or kill everyone in the room?

5: Games inside a large building (office building) a good idea?

Where are you going to have us come play at (that's what evil head is trying to say)? Where are you located? If evil's sentence didn't make sense, I wouldn't host a milsim event then.

If you don't have a thorough understanding of how airsoft guns and gear works, and how a game operates, you really have no business trying to host a public game.

Thread pending closed because I think everyone has made some valid points on why you running a public game would be a bad idea.

Yep, I'm going to say right now, you've presented yourself in a way that leads to me thinking "This person has no idea what they're doing."

I'm not going to show up.

ok these guys might not show up, and it's a little to far for me to, but I'll still give you a few pointers because you seem a little lost. personally I would never drive more than 45 minutes, unless it is a big mil-sim. vehichles are a good idea but they're a liability, someone might get hurt but have will have fun doing it. next, grenade rules are a little sketchy because everyone has different rules, but when we play it only counts as a kill if you're are actually hit. using a large building is a great idea I live in Canton and I wish they would use the old Hoover Factory, big buildings are great for CQB

I think veihicles could get a little sticky, but it would be freaking awesome if we had them. Even though they would probably only be able to be used in X type of area on X amount of the playing field.

If you want to see what NOT to do, read my post "How NOT to run an Airsoft game" about the Morgantown fiasco in August.

Airsoft + Hoover Factory = Great idea

or

The old Hercules factory where they have the Factory of Terror.
That would also be cool.

Hey, it'd be cool to play at the old Nestle factory in Sunbury!

Oh wait a minute...
