2nd 3 month Open

So when do we do this again? Who wants to manage? What type of props might you need? Who wants to help bring props?

Not only was the 1st open fun. But to be in an environment where everyone is on the same page in terms of "making this thing work" is great. I think we showed that you don't need a flash intro and millions of dollars to throw a kick *** game. We also showed how tolerance and assuming best intentions can make the game more fun then " us vs them" will ever be.

I'm hoping for some night missions.

Remember when scheduling at battlefront we want to have the games on the airsoft sunday of each month. This is the sunday following their big game. We can have it on other days but it will require us to show up later and stay in the woods for a couple hours. RTAs done this in the past and it worked out great.

Hey now, it's not just the mother, it's the wife and grandmother too ;) I wish I could have made it, it sounds like it was fun.

For the next one, does anyone have a good list of the regional and national ops? Three months from now would be early august.

I love battlefront, but it would be nice to get some action on a Saturday. 9-to-5'ers like me will be able to stay later for night games, but still start before 5 pm.

I agree with Monkey on that one, put it on the schedule. The only reason I couldn't come to the last one was because I noticed it too late to call off of work. Otherwise if you get everything sorted out, I am game.

The thing with doing this every month is that you play out the field and don't get as many people. Plus, if we plan it 3 months in advance, and it's only a $10 game, people can plan to have the day off work. I'd rather have a few quality game as opposed to a lot of low quality games.

august 15th. It's a saturday we'd need to start later in the day.. but it has a 2 week buffer between redemption and blindfury

the other option for august would be 23rd this is the airsoft day at battlefront. means we can use the field all day.



july 11th for a late saturday

july 12th for the sunday airsoft only day at battlefront.
giving us a buffer for ss as well as ls

Other option being we could all sign up for Savage Seas on the tan side.

honestly i'd prefer july and here's why. if we host the next one in july that makes the following one in september and possibly a november game to finish off 2009. There is much more chance for good weather this way.

Also team shadow legion mentioned something going on for september at this new kick *** field; i had the honor of playing last week. Could be a great place with all the amenities for overnight and extended play. It could be our NEO yearly over nighter or something to that effect.

those are just my thoughts and options.

I thought the 3 month open should be an "open" game as to get more folks out of their cave without worrying about high entrance fees and restrictions typically found at events.

My vote then would be for the late Saturday in July.

open games do imply that it will be less restrictive and allow more to play. But it doesn't say cheap as hell.

right now we're locked into doing these open games at battlefront.. also note this is a discussion at this time. if someone would like to start a vote for a day? You're more than welcome to. It will stand or fall on it's own merit.

NEO is not an open play. It's about the region. So if we have a chance to break in a new kick as field and help out a fellow NEO rep (tsl) who's been providing a steady game to all of akron..? we should do it in my opinion. But id have to start a vote like everyone else.
