Hello. I found out how to reload handgrenades (PLEASE KEEP READING AND DON'T FREAK OUT). I have found out that the "used" fuses (the kind you buy at military surplus stores for like 5 for $3) fit small rifle primers perfectly and SMALL firecrackers can fit on those and then that fits in the shell of the dummy handgrenades with the hole on the bottom. So I was wondering if it would be okay to use these. I play at Battle Front Paintball and they would be perfect for room clearing. All they do is go POP. They do NOT shoot out anything. I could hold these in my hand when it goes off.
So please post any opinions. I just found this out one weekend and I will be disappointed but not angry if you guys say no. Thanks!

I would imagine not, using a fuse+firecracker regardless of size is a bad idea. There was a thread somewhat similar to this a while back that involved firecrackers and a member posted pictures of what would happen if a firecracker went off in someones hand. Very, very, nasty results. If you are looking for a room clearing grenade places like Springfield allow dummy grenades to be used instead of ones that project bb's. And madbull has dummy training grenades for $16 per grenade. Much better than possibly hurting yourself and/or others with a firecracker device.

Open fuse devices and devices that require the use of an "explosive" are not allowed. You may not have a problem with it, but the individual or individuals you are deploying it against most likely will. Even if its not meant to project any sort of projectile, it has the capability. Anything under pressure has the ability to send objects flying, and when its not controlled, its dangerous. I would say, no.
A hint for questions such as these in the future, if you have to include a line that states "PLEASE KEEP READING AND DONT FREAK OUT", it usually means that you know it is not a good idea.

I do believe it is illegal to re-activate explosive ordinance, and I would think this falls under that.

I would not allow them at a game I was hosting.
There are options for airsoft grenades, some of which are re-usable why not think about investing in one of those Safe options instead of somthing which has the potental to seriously injure some one?

It sounds pretty cool, and I had the same question. Now that you think of it though, they probably wont let you! If you like dropped one at a open field and it went in hay or dead grass, it could burn

Pyrotechnics and on field explosives that are used in an uncontrolled manner are usually a bad idea

Throwing a heavy object like a grenade causes things to happen:
(1) YOU HIT SOMEONE IN THE ROOM WITH IT=PAIN
(2) THE DETONATING DEVICE CATCHES SOMETHING ON FIRE=PAIN
(3) YOU THROW IT AT SOMEONE BUNKERED DOWN AND HIT THEM IN THE HEAD/BACK OR SHOULDERS=MAJOR PAIN
Tampering with disarmed military surplus grenades is also againest the law=pain in jail/pain in the wallet/pain for your future

If you do this often, you're gonna have bad time.
Let's not forget dropping this on your foot. Training grenades do have some heft that will hurt if dropped on your foot. Don't Ask.
As has been pointed out, there are several reason why this is a bad idea. I'm gonna close this one up before threads move to flaming. I do hope the other comments have given you a better idea for what doing this can result in.
