View Full Version : Playing airsoft indoors?

Sorry to be so uninformed, but how do people find indoor locations for playing airsoft and other combat games?

- First of all, to keep the event legal, what sort of things are necessary? Are the buildings generally owned by a player? Are they rented?

- What sort of precautionary measures are made to the environment to ensure safe gameplay?

- As far as waivers go, is there a universal waiver people use?

--- Most importantly, does anyone know a place that has indoor events in the area?

Thanks for your time.

That is not an appropriate answer! That is stupid, irresponsible, and not at all a smart thing to recommend.

Steel, indoor games are quite rare here in Ohio, and when they do arise, they are normally invite only or highly competitive in entry spots. However, games posted on AO are required to have a legal waiver documentation supported by insurance liabilities, observe proper safety rules, and be hosted on land either owned by the organizer or hosted on confirmed private property with full knowledge of the owner.

Springfield has a "shooting House" where it is meant to simulate an indoor environment, as well as several village like arrangements.

 Really?! I hope you're just messing around, because that's quite possibly the worst advice I've ever seen.

At any rate, as was already said, indoor games are hard to come by in Ohio. I think there's a game in the old Mansfield reformatory soon, but I'm not sure if there are any spots left, or if there is even a player cap. Check it out in the upcoming Events board.

hey steel i see you are in the toledo area. we have a barn that we play at in BG it is invite only so you would have to meet either me or one of my team mates so we can get to know you and then once we meet you we will let you know when the next game is played. either send me a PM or join our forum and get ahold of us. i will also be getting the picks from the barn up on an album here today.

Hah. Mansfield having spots left? I think, what was it, 25 spots filled up in less than 4 minutes.... Yeah.. And the age limited got boosted to 18, i woulda been there too! :/
Battlefront has buildings that.. Are in pieces... Or without roofs.. Still very, very fun to play in my opinion...

I kind of figured that an event that cool would fill up fast, but I didn't know. I knew I wouldn't be able to make it, so I didn't really look too much into it. It was just a thought.

1. The indoor field that I played at, Airsoft Playground, is owned by an airsofter. You can go in there any day(except Tuesdays and Holidays) to play.

2. They sweep the floors clear of BBs at AP so you don't slip and fall on your *** on the hard, slippery cement(It hurts like H***). Make sure there are no nails, screws, ect. laying on the ground for players to step on.

3. If you mean universal as in all indoor fields, I believe there isn't.

4. No, no I do not.

Hope I helped.

Thanks for all your help.

r.t.l.w., I'm glad everyone on this forum responsibly put your thoughts down immediately... that is pretty foolish, man.

I was wondering where I could get info on Battlefront. Sounds epic.

Not exactly an indoor environment, but a great place to play nevertheless.

Hey i know this is not advice on how to find a indoor place but its how you can make one. Well anyway i was at a game yesterday and they had this tunnel made out of tarp. This was the closest thing to CQB that we have currently in Indiana, but it worked very well. What you can do is take some wooden post's and drive them into the ground, and then just hang the tarps from one post to another. And you can make entire fake houses like this and it would work very well.
BTW sorry to get off topic.

+1

The most realistic "urban environment" you are going to come across. Lots of buildings and CQB settings
