Hello everyone,

I was just wanting to post up to let everyone know that Amped Airsoft has opened it's first retail location. For those wondering, yes I will still be offering products and services out of my traveling shop (aka my car) at events where I will be allowed to sell. 8) lol

Amped Airsoft's new retail shop is located at the following address:
4146 Library Rd.
Pittsburgh, PA 15234

Hours:
Sunday and Monday: Closed
Tuesday - Saturday: Noon-9PM

Amped stocks many of the major brands such as Prometheus, EdGI, Systema, Classic Army, G&G, King Arms, MAG, Magpul, Milspex, Pantac, ECHO, G&P, ALTA, and many more.

If anyone is looking for upgrades/repairs to be performed, Amped offers very affordable upgrade/repair services and has almost any part that would be needed to do so in stock. We mainly specialize in A.E.G.s, but can perform basic repairs and what not to gas weapons. We will be expanding our services as time goes by.

Now that we finally have the net hooked up at Amped's new location, I will continue getting Amped's online store ready. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before it is ready to go.

If you would like to contact us, please use the following ways to do so:
Phone: 724-366-6590
Email: sales@ampedairsoft.com
Website: http://www.ampedairsoft.com

More products will be arriving daily. We will also be adding more display cases in the near future as our inventory grows.

It would be possible, I hope, to order online and then do an in store pickup? I would have to check and make sure that gas isn't more than shipping, but in theory that could be convenient.

Thank you guys. 8) It's still a work in progress. Just got in my Alta kneepads, Echos, and more CA guns. (Including PMC and UAC)

Right now I have way more room than I can fill. lol... I am working on fixing that though. ;) Give me a month or so and it should fill out quite nicely.

My website will have a pickup option for sure. It's already implemented actually... just gotta get the website up and live. Now that I have a reliable net connection here, I should be able to be more productive.

Thank you for all the support guys. 8)
I'll look forward to seeing you here or running and gunning with you over there.

I have been holding off on this due to the vast amounts of issues I have been seeing with KWAs. I will probably give in to carrying them due to the demand for them, but am very reluctant to. 8( When will you be in the market for one? I could order one in very easily if you would like me to. 8)

KWA's customer service is definitely top notch. They definitely take care of their customers. 8) I may get some in to have in case people want them. If I can, I may get one on this order going out tomorrow. Going to be restocking on a lot of CA weapons, KWA Pistols, and other things needed 8)

Just so you know, KWA has a new line of guns coming out around June (per customer service rep). There are a couple of new models including an AK and an MP7.

I know I'll be getting an '09 Model of the M16 (KM16BR). If one is available that has rails on it, it's mine.

That being said, keep your eye out on the release date for the new line. They have supposedly fixed the bugs that the first batch had, and have added a new 2G hop-up bucking that's insane.

Personally I am a fan of CA. The G&Gs come with a lot of upgrades in them already, but I have had some quirky G&Gs that I have dealt with that just didn't perform like the CAs did. The court is still out on the new 2009 CAs. So far so good, but I need to have more time to see them perform and wait to see if any come back. I just started recieving the newer 2009 model CAs. They are coming veerry hot out of the box.... anywhere from 400-450 fps.

Kurt, the new store is awesome!!! Finally, northeastern ohio has an airsoft store closer than the 3-4 hour pilgrimage to columbus. will there be an online store?

There definitely will be. I keep edging closer and closer to getting it open. It's just taking forever... lol I just finished up doing a lot of gun work that I got slammed with. 8) So now I can spend time working on inventory, orders, and slowly getting the site live. Originally I was thinking about putting all of my items up on the online store instead of doing it gradually... (At the beginning it was roughly 200-240 items, now it is well over 300 different items). Right now it is looking like I should do it gradually just to get it up.

Once it is live, I will make a big announcement.

Also I am working on getting in more items. I have a Magpul, Battery, and KWA order (about 8 GBBs) inbound. I also am restocking on Systema, EdGI, Classic Army weapons, 6.00 Ported Barrels (Probably for M16 Length and more M4 length) and other various things. If anyone is interested in a 6.00 ported barrel or 6.00 barrel, please let me know and I can see if I have enough interest to get varying sizes.

Thanks to everyone for their continued support. 8)

That sounds interesting. Who makes them?

I have them made by EdGI: http://www.edgicustom-usa.com/

I just placed an order today for 5 M4 length and 5 M16 length 6.00 Ported Barrels. I also have a custom one being made to test out... a spiral ported 6.00 barrel. Not sure how that one will turn out, but it's worth a shot.

I will also be getting my first batch of Daytona Guns in stock here within a month or so.

Sweet, let us know the performance and accuracy of these, I'd be interested in knowing how the ported version works out.

I have already had a batch. ;) I had a batch of 5 made. I have installed 2 of these in my personal weapons, 1 in a team mates, and 2 were sold.

I gained about 15 fps over the EDGI 6.01mm and picked up more range and accuracy. My guns are ranging about 86-90 yards (I actually used a range finder as well) with .28g BBs. (My weapons shoot roughly 415fps with .2s) I can easily hit a man size target at that range. My teamate's M4 picked up roughly 40 fps from a Prometheus 6.03mm and is achieving very similar results in range and accuracy. So far no jams what so ever. I have yet to test different brand BBs though. So far we have all been using Airsoft Elite .28g BBs. I am getting in some KSC .3s to try. I will let everyone know how that goes. Also I have confirmed that the porting on the barrels must have air around them to work correctly. Therefore, I have them made so that the ports start in the flash hider and the barrel stops right before the end of the bird cage. A moch suppressor also does the trick.

Here is a picture of the end of my previous batch:

More located here:

You can ask around to some that have seen my weapons perform at the last Battle Front Game (NEO 3 month Open). Maybe they will post up some first impressions as well. 8)

Very nice. Are you getting M-variants or just the AKs?
I am getting one of each AK variant and 2 M4s. (I am still trying to decide if I am going to keep the one m4 to sport myself.) All the other ones are for sale though. 8)

Angus, have you thought about using Bio's in the ported barrel, I say this for those who attend Lion Claw events requiring bio's?

I have a bag of AE .25g Bios right here. 8) Let me test them out. In the past I have used G&G .28g Bios in my 6.01, but I will definitely get a few bags in to try them out. I plan on attending OP:NW and OP:Irene with these weapons, so I definitely have some testing to do to make sure they are ready. 8)

I'll load my Shrike up now and see what it's doing with the AE .25 bios. I will also do some long term use, I'll probably dump a bag of the AE Bios through it this weekend at an event just to see how it performs.

Edit: Just tried initial testing with the AE .25g BIO and it shoots phenominal. I only dumped 100 rds through it, but they fly straight and true, no jams or inconsistancies. I will put the rest of the bag through the Shrike/URX this weekend at the event I'm going to: http://www.wpairsoft.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1610

I'll post back once I see how it does. (I have also not been cleaning the barrel to see how long it takes to be affected. So far it's been at least 3 games.) From what I just saw with the .25s, I am thinking it won't have any hicups. They were shooting very comparable to the AE .28s.

Sweet, let us know the performance and accuracy of these, I'd be interested in knowing how the ported version works out.

I shot Angus' M4 at the NEO Open Play a few weeks back and was amazed by it. The BB was honestly perfectly flat for the first 100feet and then the hop took effect. At 100feet the groupings had to be within a paper plate, every shot. I would have felt comfortable shooting at a target 200feet away with certainty of a high probability of a hit.

Nice job thread-jacking rambo. Angus, would you happen to be getting G3 barrel sized one anytime soon?

Bremner: Doh... I have been pretty bogged down with things, sorry for the somewhat late reply. I have M16 Lengths coming in, that may work on the G3. I won't be able to tell until I have one here to put up along side the G3 to see if the porting will be in the correct place. I will definitely post up though about it if it will work. (If it's too long, nothing a suppressor wouldn't fix.) When ever I post up about the ported barrels being in, please message me to check to see if it will work on the G3 so you can reserve one if it does. 8)

You should get a website, Angus.
That way people that can't travel that often (like me) can buy your products.

That is true, but people can place orders without a website. :) I have been fulfilling email/PM orders weekly in most cases. So if you need something and would like to purchase it through me, let me know and chances are I will have it as long as it is a mainstream mid-high grade upgrade part and other normal accessories for an AEG.

Once I get things caught up, I'll be able to put up a website, till then I have to make due. 8( Sadly I am not able to afford to pay employees, so I am going at this entirely myself (With the help of many friends though), which definitely contributes to the website getting put off until later.

Which reminds me that I have roughly 200-300 more items to add to my price list that will be arriving later this week. :( lol tis a good thing, but a brain numbing thing adding everything. lol...

Anyways, if anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask!
Thanks,
Angus

I would come out and visit but i think my parents wont let me drive that far to see a airsoft shot and that is close to a 9hr drive for me lol. But I do like the shop.

Holy cow, that is one heck of a drive! Don't worry, I'll get my online shop up, so that way you can see it without making a drive. 8) If you are ever in the area though, please feel free to swing by.

Angus came out to the Battlefront Open on 08/09/09 and spent a lot more time patiently answering technical questions and making impromptu repairs for people (including me) than shooting at people. From now on, if I need it and he has it, I will buy it from Amped Airsoft.
