View Full Version : Solo players
In the spirit of welcoming ALL interested parties, this thread is for solo players to introduce themselves. This would also be a good way to let others know if you're looking for a team or if you have been spending time with a particular team.

Isn't that what the following thread (and sticky) is for?
http://www.airsoftohio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16752
nope.
i just wanted people to know that as they introduced themselves they could include that info.
Between introduction and the thread you posted.. this one is redundant. but then again so is the crimson dawn2 thread.
perhaps this one is different in that it relates to NEO?

Been playing for not quite 2 years, I've played at BTT and Devil Hoggs, but not a member of either. Also play at Walsh Farms. I live in Medina.
Guns: UTG AK74, Echo! M4, CA Sportline MP5

Mac50 seems so lonely, so I'll do one of these as well.
I'm Pete. I'm 19. I've met a bunch of you guys already, for better or worse:D. I've only been playing since summer, but I've gone to as many events as possible in that time. I played at Battlefront a lot this winter and done a few other opens. I played on the green team at Outbreak 2, and tagged along with the Devil Hoggs for WHFO2. I'm hoping to get into some more serious games in the future, and I would have been planning to attend Crimson Dawn had it not fallen on Holy Saturday. (I'm distinctly annoyed I can't make it.) I live in Shaker Heights, which is just outside of Cleveland on the east side.
I use an Echo 1 AK and an offbrand MP7 for a sidearm. I've got a few other guns too, but those are the ones I use most.
I'd love to join a team, but I'm also pretty cool with going solo. It would also be awesome to tag along with one of the more experienced teams at an open or something, just to see how the pros do it.
Any of you guys are welcome to tag along with rta for an open game.

Where will those be hosted? BattleFront?
yes sir. If you'd like a different location start a poll. That's how we're trying to do things.

I just joined a few months ago and am flying solo but if I can get my friends to come I won't be, I will be more like a duet. I have full gear (acu) so do my friends, and I use an Echo 1 P90, L96, and a unknown brand M21, I'm currently saving up money for an Echo 1 416. It would be nice to join a team, I live in Delaware and my favorite place to play so far is... springfield, and I am planning on making it to OP 215. And thats about it for me.

Hey all,
Just thought I would introduce myself, I'm Matt Groboske I've been a solo player for the last 4 Years I've been playing.
I myself have an TM P90, TM desert eagle, CA m15a4 combine.
I would just like to say that I would really like to see a tighter group of players up in the north east, because it just seems like the core of airsoft players and teams in Ohio are down in Columbus, and I think this NEO group is a great start to getting the kind of players/teams and events they usually only have down in Columbus.
I SAY NO MORE 3HR DRIVES TO SHOOT BB'S AT EACH OTHER!

Not to be real picky, but this is the Northeast Ohio Organization forum. I don't beleive the Columbus area is in NE Ohio. There is a general area for people looking for teams elsewhere on this site

My bad. May very well have been ,but I beleive the intent was for NE Ohio players. Otherwise there is a sticky area for players to post. Go to the top and read the 3rd post down.
if you intend on participating in neo you are more than welcome. i think mac 50 was trying to let you know your post can make you more "local" friends if that was your intent?

well i'm john, just about 23 years old. i have been playing on and off for about 6 years. tried getting some friends to start up a team but it never quite worked out. i have a Modded tm m733, a tm famas f1, a ksc m9 and usp .45. i have most saturdays and sundays free, but it seems like all the AO events are on the days i can't make it or are too far away. i'm hoping to find stuff in trumbull, mahoning, columbiana, portage, geauga and astabula counties(neo, pretty much) and anything not to far over in western PA. i wouldn't mind playing with a team, although i still hope to one day get together a small recon/raiding team, that really knows it's stuff.

Hey guys my real name is jack, I'll be 15 on the 29th of this month, I've been into airsoft for about 5 years now. 3 in back yard wars and such and 2 into the high end aspect of airsoft. As far as teams go I was team conquest's support gunner. As for my loadout it is a bit weird right now as I'm selling a lot of my guns and gear for my PTW but most who play with know that I mainly use my CA M249 along with my blackhawk H-harness and I occasionly use my CA SCAR. As of right now I'm looking for a team.

Not sure how I didn't notice the NEO section yet...
My name is Luke, currently in Ravenna. Been out with TSL at Walsh and people at Battlefront. Looking forward to learning faces and names and working with some of you at CD2.
My name is Phil, I'm 22. I live in Cleveland. I'm using a KWA M4. I'm a big fan of battlefront, but I won't be able to make the open play this month... You know what would be sweet? If someone got together an e-mail list and announced events in NEO.
Edit: Holy crap I'm old. I'm 23, not 22...

You don't need emails to keep up on current events in the NEO area. Just visit the NEO section regularly and you will find when and where things are taking place.

Hey, my name is Chris, I'm 16, and I live in Kent (somewhere between Cleveland and Akron). Only thing I've ever played are backyard wars and all I own is a clear FAMAS spring rifle (though, compared to my friends guns, it's the ****). Once I save up about 300 bucks I'm planning on getting a BDU and an Echo1 g36k and really getting in the game. See some of you guys around maybe :D

Im from centerburg, oh and periodically will be home a few times a year. I love anything that could help me in my training and have a good time with it as well. I have been playing airsoft for 3 years. I have playing experience and I also help sell airsoft merchandise at Traders World on the weekends, when I can make it. Anyway I have been playing with the same group of guys for a while and our little group has evolved into enough people for a team. We have multiple places to play and I am wondering if there is anyone in the Cincinnati area or even close to it that would like to join us. PM me for more info.
I have a Custom built P90 and have ordered, and am still waiting for my western arms 1911 to come from Japan. Just in case you were wondering it seemed to be the trend.

There is a thread and sticky for people looking for teams and teams looking for new members. The solo player thread is in the North East Ohio forum and the intent ( if you will go back and read the first couple of posts ) is to focus on NE Ohio players. North East Ohio , generally is considered from Lorain County , south to Wayne County , east to the Pennsylvania border
There is also an introduction forum
it's great to see such a turn out from quality solo players in the NEO and beyond areas.
it's also great to see you guys have some ideas such as the email list. I think this is a really good idea and a great way for local organizers to keep us informed.
Please feel free to start topics and discussion on anything.

Hello all, My name is Brian and I live in Cleveland. My first airsoft experience will be the Walsh Farms Event on 04/25. Looking forward to it and meeting you guys. I am old enough to be your father for some of you. But that is what got me involved. My son mentioned that he wanted to play and I researched it to find out he is too young and will have to stick to Nerf for now. Being that this is something we can do together when he's old enough, I decided to start playing now so I can show him a thing or two when he starts. That's a good enough excuse for an old guy to airsoft, right?:D Actually, I tried paintball years ago and liked it, but didn't have the time. I work in the real steel world and train with Simmunition and it's a blast. Airsoft isn't much different and I figure it to be additional training. At least that's what I will tell my accountant when I write off my AEG and gear.;)

I am new to the forum after mulling over whether or not to get into playing airsoft for the past couple of years. I've owned airsoft guns for awhile (TM and ICS for demonstration/props) but have missed out on actually getting involved with games.
I've had TF216 recommended to me already, but probably should learn to play before I go screwing up anybodies good track record ;) So I'm hoping to do some open events, and possibly get to know some of you fine folks.
By the way, I spend my time living and working between North Royalton and Parma.
