Well there is an Ebay store selling this stuff at what seems to be rather reasonable prices, well at least to me.

Is an authorized Specialty Defense Systems gear. This is the actual stuff, not the blackhawk versions of the RACK. They sell them for $250 which is IMHO is a great price, but then again It's the gear thats really issued to US Troops. I know that the quality is goign to be good. My question isn't whether or not it's a good buy. I'd just like to hear your guys opinions on these particular pieces of gear, they also sell other MOLLE accessories and Camelbacks and stuff at good prices. I'm kinda at a tossup as to purchase the full Riflemans Kit, or go with the RACK. Either of which would be a good buy. Any of you have or owned SDS gear?

from what i have heard RACKS are a pretty good system. just go with what you think would work best for you. personlly, im am going to get the BH S.T.RI.K.E. system soon, which is in a way like a RACK, but it it a little smaller.

BHs gear is equal to or even better in a few cases then the govnt issues gear. BH takes govnt gear setups and make them better, and most of the time a little more costly. take the GI LBV for example, it is a good vest. but BH took that diesign and reinforced it, moved some things around to make them easier to get to, and maybe added a thing or too (like the rescue handle on the back of the suspenders). in the case of the RACK, im not sure what they have redone on that, so i will have to look over the specs on it a little closer.

as for price, i would say that is pretty damn good for a RACK. go for it if you see it fit.

As far as issue gear goes the RACK set up is not too bad.

Go to Lightfighter though he has them for $230.00 save yourself the 20 bucks and also on shipping.

You may also want to look at one of the other modular chest rigs. I've heard nothing but good things about the So Tech Hellcat and TT MAV.

I own a rack and the MAV both have their good points.

If you already have modular pouches you may just want to go with the chest rig by itself.

The SD pouches with the Rack are okay but there are better made ones out there. SOE make a direct action mag pouch that you can also mount grenade or pistol mag pouches to.

Lots of choices out there.

Good Idea, and sometim when I can I'll look at them. I would now but I have to deal with Websense filtering all the itme now, and for some reason Lightfighter is filtered.

Yeah that websense is a pain. fortunetly I use the net for research for work so I have a little more freedom in sites.

lighfighter is a pretty good vendor and the forum is good to.

If you got any questions on the rack or mav let me know.
