Fields near Springfield, OH

Hey guys, so I'm new on the forums and I just moved to Cedarville (I go to college there), it's about 10-15 minutes away from Springfield. I looked at some of the threads about games in Springfield, looks like there's been/will be some OPs there, but I'm just curious as to whether or not there's any fields around here that people regularly play on? I'm really looking for some place to play CQB, but I know that's pretty rare for obvious reasons. Anyways right now there's about 4 of us on campus that play seriously, but I think we're working on a bunch of the other Army ROTC guys, so by the fall semester we should have between 10-15 of us playing regularly.

So if anyone here knows of some places in the Springfield/Xenia/Cedarville area to play, that would be awesome. Really looking forward to getting back into airsoft after a couple of months of down time. Thanks guys!

I live in Springfield, as to my knowledge there is no place that is publicly open all the time. I have a few places that I am allowed to use in new carlisle, but not every weekend. The field at Springfield I.E OP121, is huge! You should come to the next OP which is Jan 24th, you will love it.

Fields are usually owned by people that don't play airsoft, i believe. And are hosted by airsoft players that get the "ok" with the owner. Others are fields for paintball and they mostly will play paintball there and host airsoft events every few weeks. you should look here for fields near your location (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=113838584140187324937.00043bc0aa313814d1b37&ll=40.259524,-82.549666&spn=3.827004,8.305664&z=8)

Thanks for the info guys, yeah I looked at the map and it looks like the two closest ones are Red Dragon and Hidden Valley, no info on either one though. Oh yeah and Conquest Ohio looks like it's got a decent indoor field, a little far but I'm sure I'll be going there some. But yeah thanks for helping me out here, I'll probably be seeing some of you on the field in the future.

Red Dragon is located in Cinci which is about 2 hrs from the I-75 & I-70 intersection.
As for "hidden valley", you must be confusing the two different fields, Hidden Spring Ranch (Springfield, near Enon) and Valley Creek (another Cinci field, albeit a bit closer).
Conquest Ohio looks like it's got a decent indoor fieldThat's debatable, but it's not my place to comment. :rolleyes:
Conquest is probably closer to you than Red Dragon since it's in Columbus.

"Down the road" about 10 mins from Springfield is I-70 Paintball where some of us used to play (what was that, 2006?). I don't think they would mind some more cash flow if asked nicely.

Honestly, you will rarely find CQB play in Ohio... and quality CQB play here, is usually invite only.

Haha by "decent indoor field" I basically meant they actually HAVE one. I moved from northern Michigan, CQB fields are basically non existent up there...

I believe the there was a database that had all know fields here on AO that was map like with some basic information and links if that individual would like to post here.

Hey, 2 of us might be coming up for the Op in Springfield. It depends on how much school work we have and any other obligations that come up. SWAT-Ike and I both go to College in Cedarville and are working on getting a team, but only 2 of us are probably going to be there.

Yeah Siyachon and one other are probably coming, I'm (probably) not going to be coming due to some other stuff I have going on there. Like I said, I'm just gettin' back into airsoft after way too much down time, I need to check my gear and see what works and what needs fixed...ha.
