Hey I have been lurking and reading too much of this list and figured I may as well introduce myself so without further...

Name: Frank James (no kin to Jesse)
Alias: Max Stiebritz

Who am I? I live & work in Chesapeake, Virginia. Lurk on this list on a lot. Really too old & fat to get myself into another hobby (40+) but...

Airsoft exp: Noob

Why: I currently reenact WW1 Imperial German, (part time WW2 French) and 1960's Vietnam as a VC (thats w/ real weapons but shooting blanks :p ). Now I am being pushed/dragged into Mil-sim Vietnam with some other carzy friends (once again as VC). Gotta love my PJ's and sandals - Looking forward to shooting something besides air...

Welcome.....wow shooting real steel guns with blanks eh, that's pretty hardcore. And the honor system would be even more important in that kind of re-enactment...

Merlin - the honor system vs: the death ratio at big events does not even compare to actuality :D . That is one of the big reasons I am jumping into Mil-sim "Vietnam airsoft". Since I already have a Vietcong kit jumping into it seems obivious. Now I just have to find the best "Nam" weapon for my impression...

Welcome to Airsoft Ohio! It shouldn't be too hard to find an M16A1, XM177, or M14 as your 'Nam weapon. Most all of the good quality airsoft manufacturers make them. Airsoft is a great sport, and I'm sure that you'll love it. Feel free to PM me if you need anything.

Thx for the welcome to AO LukeJ & strikers_blade.

Luke I have already bought a couple of Nam era weapons I first bought the UTG M14 and then purchased the G & G M14 (version 4 - wood stock), CA XM177 E2 (bought here on the forum) with a M203 attached, Cyma CM042 AK-47 (wood stock) and now buying a Real Sword Type 56. :D

Thx for the offer strikers_blade but the m203 I got with the XM 177 is pretty cool but its really not what I am into. :)

Sounds like you're off to an excellent start. You'll have quite a selection to choose from at events!
