I was wondering what would be needed to add a grenade launcher (SP or another brand) to my MP5 SD5 such as mounts for it or else cause I wouldn't know?

You'll need some type of rail on your gun, preferably on the forgrip and/or the silencer of the gun. then you get the sp m203 ris and it'll work....

i dont know if this is just me but wouldnt an M203 be a little big for a MP5? ive never held a MP5 before, but i know that are a little smaller then an M4, and the M203 can be big on an M4. or are you talking about that little ones that are small enough to fit onto some pistols?

well there are at least 2 versions of the 203- the full size and the mini.
al you would really need to do is order a Rail system for teh mp5. I have seen them installed at a local place, but what they cost is unknown to me at this time. any Rail system with std Weaver rails will suffice.

Alright, here are some pics of a SP M203 (shortened 9 inch) on a MP5 RAS. Should give you an idea of length. On an SD MP5, the full length M203 would be just past the end of the suppressor. I have found, on a MP5, the launcher's trigger guard must be secured in place and changing mags is a little touchy. However, it feels very comfortable to wield, not really odd at all.

Nice pictures man that's sweet. Thanks I agree the Grenade launcher may be little longer but thats okay!

Could you put the silencer on it? Then it might look less 'strange' as the silencer I'd guess would be longer than the launcher. Looks fine the way it is, but in case ya don't want the launcher to be longer.
Seems to me it'd be easier to get a firm grip while havin your hand on the trigger since the mag's much thinner than the M4.
Very cool.. I could definitely use one of those on my MP5 in Counter Strike. ;)

how u doing. hi, i have a mp5 ras, and for a long time i had a sp m203 full length on it. it definitly, definitly needs a silencer to make it look porportional. mine looked pretty good, and lot of people thought it was cool. However, i gave it up, becos i took a step back and realized m203's just dont belong on mp5s. but regardless, u need a silencer. ALso, i recommend taking off the trigger guard if u are using it on the mp5. this reduces the space between the m203 trigger and mp5 mag, which makes it look more solid and natural. Also, if u get a silencer, it would look way better if u could attach flat against the muzzle of the gun. As u can see in the pics, the mp5 ras has a pdw 3 lug adapter. when u put a silencer onto this adaptor, there will be a space between the muzzle end and the silencer,(ull see the 3 lugs, making it look kinda dumb)

you should just use the mosquito molds airsoft grenade launcher, small and fits nice onto an mp5 ris unit.

Any chance of putting a full stock on it? That might make the m203 look much better as the gun would look more full. Or any RIS units out there that you can put on a MP5 SD5?

You could put a full stock on it, it would help a great deal for balance issues.
As for SD's, you could get a RIS system, i know of one currently on mass produce available at WGC, and it would probably look somewhat better on there.
The small MM launcher looks fairly nice on Mp5's.

The current rail system for the SD5 is made by ICS. It wouldn't look so bad IMO if it wasn't enlarged (to hold a large battery for slither/folding stock SDs). On EBay there is a CA SD2 custom made RIS available http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3635368926&category=31684
I'm guessing they removed the ribbed foregrip, then drilled holes into the cocking tube to screw the rails in.

There are actually two RIS/RAS Mp5 SD versions available that are, mass produced. Custom ones are available, but of coarse that you will pay double if not triple and a ton more then normal.

Yeah, I was browsing WGCs accessories page out of boredom and came across that SD RIS. Looks a lot better than the ICS in my opinon. Not enlarged, and appears to be more rounded. Im debating whether or not I want to add accessories to my CA SD3 besides a flashlight-and I don't need an RIS for that.

The second one that ArmyHummermentioned is the G&G RAS for the SD5. Very high quality. Very practical. The whole piece is metal and inludes a metal silencer - a shorter SOCOM type almost.
I believe the rails are metal too.
$160 US + shipping not too bad and a nice addition to the SD5 - certainly unique.

Shoots very well - same as any stock Tokyo Marui gun. Mine has been flawless in the year or so I have owned it. The full stock with the large battery is the cinches the deal!
I put some lead waits inside the foregrip of mine to balance it out more - but a G&G metal RIS would be even better

The m203 on the sd5 will be straight because the sd5 has the silencer i would like to see that. nice idea im getting a s5d i might have to do it too

It has a eg700, but because those catalogs are old- 2000 I think or 99 one of the two, then they are the last to be updated in the Mp5 line, and at that time were 560. Now of coarse, they have 700's though, evident in the new magazine.

Anyone remember the custom MP5 EOD (End of Days) that was made a year or two back? Looked nice, custom flashhider I believe, custom mounting and all. Only problem was that it was mounted on an A5, and with it mounting under the foregrip, battery space was hard to manage. Either needed a battery bad or you had to put the battery in the 203, which in my mind is completely unacceptable. But doing this on an A4 or SD5 would be entirely different. Just thought I'd mention it, see if anyone else remembers it.
