im in massillon and the reason i dont get much trigger time is cause theres never anything good close to us. so im really interested.
I live in akron
1. How old are you members?
2. How many members have high end guns and not walmart junk?
3. DO you have permission from the property owner/police to play where you are playing?
4. Do you have paintball/airsoft insurance for the field?
If the answer to #2 is zero and 3&4 is no then you are simply wasting your time posting here

Head out to Walsh Farms, it's the closest field to Akron that I know of.
In North East Ohio you have Recon Team Anaconda, Shadow Legion, Ronin, The 08th EU, and Tactical Aggression to name a few other teams to play with.

all of ar members are over 18 with the exception of one of them who is 17
all of our members have high end guns
we own the properties we play on and are currently purchasing a ware house for indoor play as well as the insurance for the warehouse to open it publicly
and to fill you in sidd politeness will get you a little farther than acting like an *** and being a **** in your reply everytime someone posts something on here

You have to understand that their are a lot of posts on here by people who recently created their accounts or who have a low post count that post things along the lines of "i have a few guys and we play in our area but want to play against more people. ....." that turn out to be a back yard group of kids (literally kids) with springers who play in clear site of a busy road. So people like Sidd have developed an attitude towards that to ask(sometimes not too politely but oh well) whether it is a legit place to play and a mature group of people. I don't know how long you have been a member but many of the members here take airsofts public image rather seriously and that is where the bull headedness comes from.
So where is the field that you play at exactly? Do you have an address? How big? Would you plan on hosting an open play?
Politeness has never gotten any great leader anywhere. Force and determination are what get the job done.
And like Demonic said just about every other week we get a post from some one who's first post is "I plan on opening a public airsoft field and/or a retail business" only to never hear back from them after they find out that it will take an investment of several dollars of start up capitol and a lot of hard work. That is the reason there are VERY few commercial Airsoft sites in the US, not to mention that as far as being well known airsoft is still a virgin sport in the US. Where as in the UK and other countries there are already Laws governing the sport, replicas, players and other aspects of the hobby.
Also there are many members such as myself that have been part of the airsoft community for several years and have invested thousands, only to show up at a small open play to be greeted but a bunch of kids that cheat, disobey MEDs and cant even seem to keep their goggles on when in the combat zone(sniping with you UTG L96 is going to be hard with a patch over your eye). Not to mention these kids generally know nothing about tactics, or even pay attention to you when you try to help them out.
Being a noob on this site generally means you already have two strikes against you in most vet's eyes. I was not trying to be impolite at all I was just being realistic. If you are sincerely interested in becoming a positive member of the Ohio Airsoft Community, feel free to PM me and I will be glad to help steer you in the right direction.

im sorry if that is a little rude of how i worded my response. our team has 2 military veterans on it. myself i was involved in paintball for over 6 years before crossing over to airsoft as for the other 2 they have been involved in airsoft for about 3 years the property is in the union town area . we do have the capitol to fund what we are doing we just feel that there is a need for a place for us as intense no longe has airsoft. yes we will have paint ball at our arena but we are going to cater more to the airsoft population i am not currently at liberty to disclose the exact location of the property however we will also have an onsite store for both airsoft and paintball which we will be selling middle to high end guns and markers there as well as tactical gear aand other items. there will be making an official announcement about this later as we are still 4-6 months out from finalization and the opening of said facility. there are also several businesses included in this facility as well that will be opening such as a barber shop thrift store and possibly a tattoo parlor so i will keep you posted on everything when i am able to i am not a big internet person.. as for our team...team war machine we take our team very serious we train and practice roughly 20-30 hours per week ourteam is newly built but all members have experience in one or more ways.
Hey if you ca get this off the ground and it doesnt suck then I am more than willing to slap down a few dead presidents to play. If you guys want some one to play against I have both a TM P90 and my Money Pit of a TM VSR 10, I am constantly rotating between CQB and Sniping, though I am not really looking to join any teams. I can also fix just about any Gas or Spring gun you put infront of me and am always happy to share that knowledge.
I remember the good old days of playing at Intense, I was down there just about every week for the longest time. I have been looking for weekly play like that ever since.
As Sidd has said, there are offers for new businesses ventures on these forums all the time and roughy 95% of them result in nothing. So some advice, its nice to know your intentions, but before you start publicly announcing wallpaper colors, try coming here with an actual tangible offer.
Asking if people in your area would come out is like asking people if they like breathing air. Yeah, you'll get dozens of replies of interest, but when it comes down to it, alot of the people posting on the forums represent a small percentage of actual players.
What will impress more people than dreams and plans is the actual announcement you are opening your facility.
Finally, thank you for posting, but this section is to post an actual field or facility that does exist, not something that may happen in the future. So when you open your gates and can fulfill the listed requirements, please do so. Until then, you'll have to forgive skepticism but odds are in favor of nothing else coming out of this.
Good luck with your planned facility.

well as it for now we are going to have the place open just about 6 days a week with a few exceptions when we are out of town for wrestling shows and are gonna be catering more to open field for airsoft than we are paint ball as we may only have open field once or twice a week for paintball. but any advice you can lend feel free to give it id like imput from all the guys who play in onio so we can make this the best we can for everyone and have something good for all of us to utilize

Just keep it fun and inviting. If you guys don't mind a small drive, the best field in North East Ohio is by far Battlefront in Youngstown. Their are occasionally open plays hosted out their by Recon Team Anaconda or some of our friends on either weekends or during the week. The most frequent games in our area are at Walsh Farms. Every Sunday from 11ish-5ish. May be only a few others but it's still a day of play.
See you on the field.
