I acquired one on a trade by accident once. The guy said it was a TM and when it arrived I was sorely disappointed. For one thing, the guy didn't package it very well. The metal on the gun is very low quality in my opinion (the pot metal/monkey metal that everyone talks about) so it arrived in pieces. The front end had been snapped off in shipping. So I had to buy an entirely new body for it since it doesn't accept TM body parts (It has a quick take-down body, which can be good I guess). The full stock on the gun is very low quality. It is not strong at all and mine eventually broke. I've been able to mess with it enough that I've found a way for it to stay on even though it's broken though. The gearbox is okay, but mine has a super low rate of fire. It must be like 500 per minute. This may be because they come upgraded in stock form. But even my other upgraded guns that I've done myself have an awesome rate of fire still. I think it's a hunk of junk. I would not wish this gun upon my worst enemy. My experience with my V.2 ICS MP5A4 has been extremely painful. I've replaced everything with Marui parts slowly. Now all that remains is the stock and gearbox (excluding the tappet plate which broke recently and I had to replace it with a Guarder reinforced part).
This may of course just be my personal experience.

One of the guys I play with has a version 2 A5, with the sliding stock. He had similar problems in shipping, so we (me and his dad) cast a new one out of plastic, along with some other broken parts out of pot metal. He also had the same problem with low rate of fire, but after taking the gun apart and re-lubing the mechbox, it is up to the speed of the TM MP5. I can't say its exactly the same, but they both sound and feel to be the same speed.

He's had it for about 2 months, and no problems I know of...
