If you know me personally, you would know I am what has been coined as a "Camo Whore" (if word is offensive, replace with, jockey). I am into all kinds of camo clothing, and have about 4 complete sets of different kinds-US woodland (2 complete sets of that) German Fleck, US 6 color desert, and OD.

Just wondering what people here at AO consider their top 3 favorite camouflage patterns-no polls, but make a little list-I also hope this isn't immediately transferred to the General forum and shunned forever.

For me, I'd say:
1.Russian Flora
2.British DPM 2 color desert
3.US 6 color desert

I really like the reproductions of the various Waffen-SS smocks, the spring, and autumn patters are very cool looking, but also very expensive.

I have a Thai "tiger" BDU top that is kind of cool, but far too dark for anything around here, I guess the jungles of Thailand get pretty dark.

Favorite "attainable" camouflage would be:

1) US Tri-color desert
2) US Woodland
3) US Oakleaf

Is oafleaf the vietnam era woodland style? Well, not the ERDL, but the kind of camo used in helmet covers? Or is it some kind of hunting camo?

I know it says "top 3", but like so many, so I'll list my top 5 ;)

1. DPM (woods and desert)
2. Japanese (similar in design to Flectarn but with different colors)
3. Swedish
4. Danish Flectarn
5. US current issue (woodland and tri-desert) - cause its so easy to get :)

Yeah, it's the camo the US used before the Woodland pattern, the helmet covers from the Vietnam war were the Oakleaf pattern. The actual cammies are really nice because not only are they ripstop, but they have the angled pockets on the blouse, I think that looks much nicer than the "organized" look of all four pockets being perpendicular on the newer cammies.

1. German Flecktarn
2. Swat Black (does that count?)

Just to update, I believe 6 color desert is now my ultimate favorite, as I now have a complete set-theyre great, heheh.

But how often do you encounter a desert around here, except like TAC field.

Ok, here goes...

U.S. 6 Color Desert (for desert)
Russian Flora (for woodlands)
Commercial Black-Grey Tigerstripe (for night/CQB)

Unless you count my wearing a suit in CQB with a red tie a favorite, those are my three :D

Oh wait a minute.. we can choose suits?

Okay, then my favorites would be:
3) An Orkin outfit.. It's easy to shoot others when they are entranced asking questions such as "Is it true a roach can live for two weeks with it's head cut off?"

2) A nice, pinstriped zoot suit, circa 1931.. This suit works best with an Italian-Bronx accent.. You'll also want to carry your AEG (note: Thompson, nothing else. and you'll need a drum mag mod jerky..) added points for having a number of flapper-attired "skirts" in your immediate company..

1) And the number one suit to wear while skirmishing.. An authentic Scottish kilt.. lets face it, anybody thats got the rocks to play airsoft in a skirt has just GOT to get crazy points..

4.German Flecktarn/Tropentarn

Belgian jigsaw, thats interesting, and the norwegian stuff-and the nice Danish flec, good choices. I like all yours except for CADPAT, but thats just cause I'm not a fan of digital.

So the desert flecktarn is wustentarn? Always called it tropentarn, maybe theres two different designations.

I like CADPAT so much I just paid a ludicrous amount on eBay to get some shipped over here ;-)

I believe Tropentarn isn't the same as Wüstentarn. I think (but I'm not sure) that German hot weather clothes are called Tropentarn, so that there are also Tropentarns in Flecktarn. Wüstentarn (literally: Desert Camouflage) are the clothes in desert pattern. This info I have from a German armystore catalog, don't know if they have it correct.

Strange, while a lot of Belgian airsofters play in Flecktarn, I'm the only one I know who has Wustentarn for desert outfit. And I'm surely the ONLY one with a CADPAT set ;-)

Cadpat TW, i use this camo more than any other pattern. The best camo ever made, i've been using it for a year now and i can say this stuff works.

The only other camo i use if i dont have my Cadpat with me is Russian camo.

If Danish flecktarn wasn't insanely expensive, I'd be all over that. As it is, woodland and German flecktarn is nice enough for me.

Got a new favorite to post here:

Polish pantera woodland and desert are my new favorite patterns, I do believe.

With Russian flora and Italian consubin, and plain old OD bringing up the rear.

1. Aussie Jungle Cam (much like British DPM desert but with nice jungle colors)

2. British DPM (jungle and desert, woodlands decent)

3. Stuff that looks like a blend of DPM and oakleaf. I think the SAS used it in vietnam? I'll have to take a picture of the coat I have. It's like today's AusCam but with darker colors that works well in our climate around here.
