My friend broke his tappet plate on his ICA MP5A5..and tried to install a Systema Tappet plate Version II in it..and it didn't work..it kinda..snapped the piston or something. The mechbox is a version 2..so we thought the Systema V2 would work..but bah..no..anyone know which one to use?

Are you sure your friend put the tappet plate on correctly?

no...he just stuck it in there, and put the cover on it...well..we were wondering if he should attach some spring or something....and maybe put the screws in....hehe...yeah..of course he put it in the right way:p

Well I'm not sure how much bearing this has on your situation...but...
when you install the plate...make sure that the timing is set correctly for one...and make sure that the "L" of the tappet plate that engages the sector gear are meeting properly. If they are misaligned...maybe the post caught the L wrong and bent the plate sideways...I have seen this happen...snaps the tappet in a split second! Maybe this isn't what happend, but just a thought!
OH and how on earth did the piston snap????
