The group I play with is slowly dieing off due to work, college, and other hobbies. Me and a few others that still really want to play, and need a new place to play at. I know there is Walsh it is fun and all(been there too much) but I'm looking for someplace new or a place that is growing and has a game every 1-2 weeks.

If your are looking to play in Ohio you are going to have to "road trip". Conquest, Springfield, and Red Dragon all have regular games. Between them all you could play at least twice a month.

team devil hoggs hosts a game every 1-2 weeks. We are slowly growing and have recently getting a over 20 guys to come to the field. (last week we had 24 rsvp yes and 13 maybe) I dont know exactly how many came because I was not able to attend. Anyways we have been getting good reviews and it might be worth the trip once in a while. I think you live about 40 minutes away so it is your decision wether the trip is worth the gas. we play on about 1 1/2 acres so it is action packed but with the growing numbers we sometimes walk to a larger field that is, if i remember right, 3 acres.

Yes, yes, before you flame, I realize that this is a paintball field, and yes, paintballers have first choice on where they wish to play if we ever show up at the same time, however, the field is MASSIVE and there is always an open area to play in. Also, the paintballers are almost always done by 3-4pm, which means the entire area is completely ours for the rest of the night!

It's an absolutely amazing area with plenty of woods, and a small village for some intense CQB. Trust me, you really want to check this field out! There's an open play scheduled for August 5th. We've reserved the entire day for airsoft and it (surprisingly!) is only $10 a head.

On average, we get roughly 10-14 people. Last time I was there, there were only 8 people, but again, 4v4 is still really fun CQB. No down-time in those matches.

Your best bet for a decent local game would be the Battlefront Open plays.

- Helmut, Battlefront looks to be 1.5 hours from your area code, if you think the ride would be worth it there is an open play March 1st.

-Desert-fox, Got a few people from Austintown who regularly participate in Battlefront Open plays, the drive is about 20 mins for them, and just check out who is regestered for each open play some days we get 8 people, once we got 50. I estimate 15-25 people for this open play, but since it is open this is a very rough estimate.

If anyone has some questions about Open plays at battlefront (preferably ones I host), just PM me and I will answer to the best of my ability.

Has anyone played at pinnacle woods before? If so how are they and do they have open play? Pinnacle is about the only place close to me.

Pinnacle woods is extremely expensive for airsofters. They make you buy their bio bb's(left over from our safari strike series and are extremely overpriced) and make you pay a ungodly fee to play there. PW does not have open plays for airsofters.

just kidding but from what I also heard, Pinnacle are not easy to please....but I could be wrong, it is only hear-say.

Ghost, PW has specific requirements for airsofters which includes buying their bb's(bios) and specific minimum number of attendees. They can be costly with the field fee also. It may have changed since we had our safari strike series there.....I hope so.
Some northeast ohio teams have attempted to hold skirmishes and games there and received, at the least, a major headache.

it would be awesome if you could get open play at pinnacle, me and about 10 of my buddies live about 3 minutes away from there and we play in the fields around the area but not there. If they started open play there we would be willing to try to make it there as much as possible. :cool:

Im new, but the people I play with are experienced, so Ill supply the field, they supply the experience of organizing it, and we all can enjoy it!

if you want to find out when there are games you need to read the event section. it's really very simple. Calling places and harassing them only complicates things.



Battlefront allows airsofters by invite only with prior consent. You obtain consent by calling and asking to play on a particular day. If it is a weekend you need to meet up later in the day to use the city. At least 5 pm. You can ask to play in the woods earlier in the day. Key word here is ask and be respectful.

Once a month he's been having an airsoft day. This is the sunday after his large paintball game.. This is visible on his calendar. But again, you have to call and seek prior consent.

Regarding future use of fields in general i suggest talking to the people who originally secured permission. ie me maverick blade locutus evil head etc. It all depends on the field. It's easy enough to find out.

I am aware, I sent a polite email and found out battlefront is trying to work out some kind of rotation schedule for the fields to have open airsoft matches.

BTT's (http://backyardtacticaltraining.blogspot.com/)new CQB facility is up and running in Brunswick Hills Ohio (just south of Strongsville and north of Medina) check us out we will be hosting 16 games this year all weekday evenings mostly Fridays and Mondays but our first open game is Thursday July 9th 5pm-10pm all games will be posted on AO.

I would never even think of playing there. So I am not going to answer that.

The matter of the fact is that you are playing on property where there are houses around you.

It's not an offical place to play paintball or airsoft. If someone sees you playing airsoft there, the cops can get called easily. It's not a smart idea.

There are plenty of places in NEO to play, Walsh Farms, Battlefront, etc

BTT has been hosting backyard games for 5+ years on and off with up to up to 26 players with out issues. All the neighbors knew about it and even let us use some of the back of their property. Hosting games in small residential areas on community property is a different issue but don't be so quick to bash back yard games BTT stands for Backyard Tactical Training. If done properly personal property can be a great place to have smaller games especial with lower power guns. Everyone has to start somewhere.

First i was wondering if anyone ever talked to pinnacle woods about open playes? I think it would be nice because its only two minutes away. Also if no one has talked to the owner/ my boss i can try and throw the idea of open plays at them. I should be working this weekend.

Second i dont see any thing wrong with backyard airsoft long as you safe and dont make the neighbors mad. Just my 2 cents.

Yes there was a problem with the land lord for the Marks Rd property. I'm working on buying over 4 acres in Granger and should be moving in next month I'll post once things are final just waiting on one last well water test so I can get VA approval for the loan.

Do you have any suggestions for an old fart like me who wants to play. I'm 33 and my 9 and 7 year old boys wanted to airsoft. So I bought them a couple guns. Well now I want to airsoft but obviously they are no competition Lol. I just ordered my gun (nothing special) and I am looking for people to play with. Any advice would be appreciated.

So the abandoned flea market fell through. However, our team is up to almoast 15 members, one of which has A LOT or property. We are discussing the possibility of building some permanent structures. If we make this happen it will not only provide a permanent practice field for people in the area but also a place to host some events.

I'm just not crazy about playing in the snow but as soon as we start to see green and brown again we will be having build days to get some more buildings up. The plan is to start hosting at least one game a week in good weather.

I can see you're new, so I will point you in the right direction.

Come out to some events and see what the game is like, meet some people, and have a good time. Then worry about being on a team/etc.
