P90 and P90tr shoot exactly the same. My brother owned one and I've used it, the gun is really good in my opinion. It is very small and compact, yet the inner barrel is longer than that of a MP5 or Spetsnez.

so is it a good gun for some range. is its fps really 297 or what do you think? and you do like the gun a lot?

I doubt it's 297fps, probably around 277fps. Personally, I don't like the gun cause of its general feel...it doesn't feel like a real gun. It, in my opinion, is an ideal gun for CQB or small fields. For an outdoor field that is like 800 acres+, you may find it ackward in some situations. If you buy the one with the silencer (or the regular one and add a silencer) you can put a longer inner barrel through it. My brother's P90 had a G3-inner barrel in it, it had one of the best ranges out on the field.

It's really a point of personal preference, whether or not you like the gun. IMO, the gun is very comfortable to hold and shoulder.

If you're a p90 fan, than definitly go for it, you won't be dissappointed with the TM p90.

Just to confirm what has been said above, the P90 and P90 TR are the same AEG. There will be no substantial variation in range or power between the two. The only differences are:

P90
Color Black
Red Dot Scope
One medium side rail
Metal Flash hider

P90 TR
Color Grey
Scope Rail
Two small side rails
Metal Flash hider & SOCOM silencer

The internals of these two AEG's are the same. The silencer on the TR does nothing to increase range or power, it is only cosmetic. Furthermore this silencer does very little to actually silence the TR.

For more information, check out my review at:

It mainly covers the standard P90, but from what I have said before, you should know they are both the same AEG. I love my P90 and would recommend it without hesitation.

does the g3 barrel fit flush with the end or do you have to cut it? how hard is it to put in?

No, the G3 barrel is too long for the socom silencer included with the p90-tr. Remember that you also need to leave some extra room to act as a flashider, keep the dirt from the barrel. I had a KM 245mm silencer for my G3 barrel.

so if i use the silencer that comes with the p90tr, can i use the g3 barrel still and cut it short? will it also fit through the silencer easily? thanks.

yes you can, but then you can also use a shorter barrel from an M4/M16 I believe. I got my hands on the GB-Tech P90 silencer and the thing looks sweet. Too bad I have to recalibrate it everytime I take it off

Fluffy_Bunny:

Just wondering what you mean by:

"I got my hands on the GB-Tech P90 silencer and the thing looks sweet. Too bad I have to recalibrate it everytime I take it off."

What do you have to recalibrate? I have the same silencer and am wondering if I am missing something. The writing on the can doesn't line up, but that is cosmetic, what are you talking about.

Thanks.

so my main question now is, will the g3 barrel fit through this specific silencer and after you put it through, how do you keep the silencer on the barrel? i.e. does the barrel have a tight fit with the inside of the silencer?? thanks a lot.

if you unscrew the part of the silencer with the writing from the base that attatches to the muzzle, and look under it, you'll find 2 tiny screws. You can adjust the height of the screws, thus, creating perfectly aligned writing to the P90. I'm not sure if this is the official one, or a custom job, since I got mine from Ebay.

On a side note, will an M4 barrel fit a P90 with the GB-Tech P90 silencer?

In most cases the extended inner barrel is Not a tight fit in a silencer. The brass (or whatever) extended barrel will extend out of the muzzel of the AEG. Then slide the silencer over the extended barrel and screw it into place. The only drawback (not much in my opinion) here is that the silencer must remain inplace to protect the extended barrel and also to maintain the realistic look of your P90. Personally, I am planning on getting an extended barrel in my P90. I have the standard P90 and GB-Tech silencer and I plan to end the extended barrel a couple of inches before the end of the silencer.

Fluffy Bunny, thanks for the heads up on the two set screws. I'll have to check my silencer out. This is the one thing I do not like about the GB-Tech P90 silencer. I have learned to live with it. I hope your solution works. If not, oh well.

Yea, that's what I meant. I want to know if the Silencer will be long enough to house the M4 barrel without it jutting out.
