Turok is not fun whatsoever. Anytime I play, there is a huge amount of lag. And most batles resort to a death dance with knives.

I don't think they should have used the Stg44 as the WWII era gun for COD4. I would have much rather seen and MP40 or MG42. The Stg44 can't compete with the other AR's.

So vb, is there an official registered clan? Or is it only a clan tag on COD4?

Is it just me? Or does it seem like the new LIVE "update" is meant for toddlers. It seems more like my friends Wii than the old LIVE...

It definitely seems that way to me. I liked it the old way a lot more. Today, I wanted to play for a little bit, and between choosing an avatar, and doing all the updates, it took me like 20minutes. Not to mention the fact that the new thing is, like Battlefield said, geared towards little kids.

Update Review: I have time to kill, and I'm angry at Microsoft...hmmm...

Bad Changes:

I think the little avatar guy is a novelty, a worn out one at that...It's very childish, and has no purpose to the majority of Xbox players.

The new dashboard is also hard to navigate compared to the old one, it doesn't display as much of the Gamer Themes as before, and the Marketplace is harder to navigate. You can no longer look at all the downloads a game offers, it's now split into media, and game...
The dashboard is split into many many many different screens now. Whereas before it was 5 screens, with numerous options, it's now arranged vertically, with horizontal sidebars. There are 7-10 vertical choices, and next to each vertical choice, there are 4 or more, up to 9 horizontal choices...

Good Changes:

The Netflix movie streaming was one of the most awaited changes this update had to offer. To my understanding, if you are a Netflix customer, you can download any of the movies in your que straight to your Xbox. There aren't supposed to be any strings, it's just that simple.

The new 8 player chat is also helpful, as you can now create an 8 player "chat room" where up to 8 of your friends can converse together. You can all be playing any different game and continue chatting.

Minor Changes:

You can now delete any game off of your hardrive that has a gamerscore of 0. It takes it off of your memory, and off of your "Compare Games" screen.

If you have a disk that is totally scratched up, you can insert it into the drive, upload it into your hard-drive and you can play it as if it's new. You still need the disk to launch the game, but it is supposed to make game play a lot smoother on a scratched disk. From what I have heard, the disk doesn't even spin in the drive, it's just necessary to launch the game.

Microsoft also announced that smaller updates are to follow, so expect bugs to be worked out, and possibly newer changes to the dashboard.

My Opinion on the Updates

Avatars- They are as fun as you want them to be... I don't want them to be very fun.

Deleting games with 0 points- I am known for playing every game and every arcade demo that comes off. This will take about 100 games off of my list.

Private chat- I can now chat with my friends without being cut out every time one of them dies in S&D. We can also cheat and watch each others backs when we are dead.

Games to your hard drive- This is the coolest thing in my opinion. You can put old games on your hard drive so they run faster and have shorter loading screens. This also makes the games quieter. The coolest part is that with new games, you can put them on your hard drive and then you do not need the disk at all. This is where the party system gets cool. If you have a party and everyone has Gears 2 on their hard drive and say you are playing CoD 4, the party leader just needs to go to his dashboard and he can have it so Gears 2 just starts up on everyone in the party's xbox and they do not even have to change disks.

Netflix- This will be really cool once I move since we will be getting Netflix.

Dashboard- It seems to work faster and there aren't any odd freezes.

More features to come- If everyone in your party has netflix you can pick a movie and it will start up for everyone and you can all watch it together. They are also going to have a channel with games like 1 vs. 100 where you can actually sign up and play against real people on xbox live for real prizes. There will be scheduled events and you can sign up to compete or if you want, you can watch other people compete just like a real game show. This is also where avatars will really come into play.
