Hi all, I'm Spartan-120. I'm semi-ashamed to say that I've spent a fair amount on guns and gear, without having played in an airsoft game. I do hope to change that soon, though, now that a friend has directed me here. I live in Westlake, in the suburbs west of Cleveland. I think I like milsimming the best, at least insofar as the low cap mags force you to actually aim your shots.

My main AEGs
Echo 1 M14 EBR
UTG M-14 (and a bayonet, with an extra sheath for use as a safety cover)
Aftermath (Jin Gong rebranding) M-4 S-System with accessories
Boyi M4 w/spring-powered M203
CYMA AK-47 V2 with metal gearbox
Assorted spare mags for each type of weapon.

Springers
UTG M324 Sniper Rifle + Gen 3 upgrade kit
UTG M87LA shotgun
rebranded UTG M87SOS shotgun
KWC Ultra Grade .50 AE Desert Eagle
KWC Ultra Grade S&W 1911
CYMA P817 fitted with a Springfield Armory miniature Tac Light
Assorted others from KWC, HFC, et al.

My AEGs are unmodified mechanically, they all shoot in the 250-320 fps range, except the M4 S-System, which shoots about 380 fps. I hope to get my first GBB in the next few weeks, the WE Tech Tactical Railed .45, and also a couple gas-powered grenades.

I mainly wear Marine Digital Camo (because the Marines rock), and I use the UTG Marine Digital Crossdraw Vest and Dropleg Holster.

Yeah, I know, I went a little overboard on the guns and gear.

Trust me when I say that you will feel underdressed when you see some of Ohio's airsofters on the field. Between Nextmayor and DMan, they could open a shop selling all their gear and stay in business for at least a year.

However, welcome to AO. Hopefully you will put as much time and effort into events and the community as you do your guns and gear.

As much time as I can pry from the cold dead fingers of the real world. As far as events go, I'll probably stick fairly close to Cleveland, say, within an hour or so driving, at least for now.

As for being underdressed, would using a real Kevlar "Fritz" make up for some of that?

I'm not saying that you are going to stick out like a sore thumb or anything, just simply saying that there are certain airsofters in Ohio that like to spend a very large quantity of money on gear. You'll see people using Eagle Industries CIRASes, Paraclete RAVs, and all other kinds of high quality / high cost gear. I would have to say, though, that the majority of airsofters use a very similar loadout as you do. So don't be worried that you don't have enough gear, just know that you will probably never have as much as some of the other gearwhores that mod, er, I mean frequent this forum.

heh...he saw my MOUT rig over on another forum and I directed him here....think he believes we all use crazy high end gear...

Spartan...Im sorta just crazy...and like using real gear...why? Dont know, just do...

Your rig is fine, and your weapons will work well in a regular airsoft game. I still implore you to come out to Cincy or Springfield for a game and you and I can meet, and talk about ace Combat and ***** about ADV or something, I dont know...

Hope to see you soon.

Still love how I have been getting AO members onto ACS, now I got an ACS member onto AO.

I'm gonna buy a couple airsoft grenades soon. Those might come in handy.
