I am buying somthings for my M4

3 X G&P 130 Rounds M16 Standard Magazine @ $16.00 each = $48 USD
1 X Hurricane M16 Metal Body For M4A1,M4RIS & SR-16 ( Colt Logo) @ $135.00
each = $135 USD
1 X Guarder SP130 Spring For AEG @ $15.00 each = $15 USD

Do you think these things are good quality (the SPRING) cause I have never had a friend use the gaurder spring. Is it good? and it gives me 350 FPS? Also do you think I need anything else, will just puting in the spring be OK by itself. I NEED HELP CAUSE ITS MYFIRST TIME UPGRADING.

Yes, the Guarder springs are very high quality; however, you will be OVER 400fps with the SP130. From my experience I have seen an SP90 shot 315fps (in a stock gun) and a SP120 shot 390fps. I would suggest a SP100 or SP110 if you want to stay in 350fps range. Just remember that all guns chrono differently, so these are just guesses. :)

Systema springs have a good reputation as well. But like Hardlock said, all guns chrono differently. The 120 spring will put you at a theoretical 394 FPS (simple meter per second to FPS conversion) so if you want or need to stay under 400, you might want to go with a 100 or 110 spring.

A quote from the AirsoftArms website:
"Systema M120 spring upgrade for AEGs. Most AEGs will be around ~400fps with this upgrade. We recommend upgrading to metal bushings as well. Please be aware of effects higher powered springs may have on your gearbox." [emphasis added]

BTW, where are you getting your Hurricane body for $135? Sounds like a Hong Kong price.

If youre worried about mech box problems, id get metal bushings as already mentioned.

and to be 100 percent honest, springs and bushings on a spring that is over 350 might not cut it. I dont know much about this 110 spring, but it sounds like its over 350.

eventualy youll need gears.. standard ratio reinforced would work. as anyone will tell you the curent setup will work, but evneutally you might strip out those gears.

I personally have this take on upgrading, which you might or might not like for monetary reasons.
The last time i upgraded an AEG... i went all out on the mech box.you name it, i pretty much replaced it.
that or i leave it stock.

thats just how i feel, and not how the majority probably feels. Its just one way to give a better chance of things workin out.

good choice with airsoft shop. my team does a majority of their ordering there. I used to not like them for a fowl up they made, but theyve redeemed themselves.
if you get people to go in on a big order with you, he cuts you huge breaks. my team has put in upwards of 3 grand from them in the past year. I know its a relatively small amount compared to some teams, but we probbaly got.... 10-15 percent off all together, maybe 20 percent.
