Im really new to airsoft, and am looking to buy a couple spring guns. Which one is better- An UHC MP5 SD3 spring or a HFC XM177 springer? I wanna go with the XM177, but the mags are $20! Only $7 for MP5! Also, which pistol is better- a UHC Sig P228 or a heavy UHC two tone M9 Beretta? And, would an MP5 mag fit in an M16 mag pouch (don't think they will, but I wanna make sure).

Hey man, I have a MP5-SD3 and it is a very reliable gun. It its stirdy and once broken in, shoots great. Its very accurate and fast.

I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

I also own the mp5 sd3. I have HEARD the panther arms 177 is actually a harder shooter, but the sd3 is half the cost, reliably accurate out to 85', a hard shooter, tough, and durable. if you opt for the mp5 you will not be dissaponted. however, i do not have hard numbers on the panther arms peice and I have heard nothing but good things about it.

well, if you want to spend a little more money, go with the xm177, i owned one till it broke (dont worry, all springers break) I used mine as a sniper rifle, just get a scope mount and scope, its a verry fun gun (you just need to put silicone in it). the mp5 is a good gun too, i owned it till it broke(as i said, all springers break) you just need to have 2 or + mags. or you could go with the mp5a5 pump, now THATs a nice gun, the mag acts like two, you fill it then put it in the gun, if you run out of ammo, you just push a little button at the bottom of the mag, and you can pump it fast too. as for the pistols, go with the p228,(the p228 lasted me for 2 years, and still going) it doesn't have as much power of the berreta, but more accurate.

the pump mp5 (hfc) does not shoot nearly as accurate as the uhc one.

yes, when you tip the mags over, the BBs spill out- there is no "top" to the mags. however this can be avoided with simple black electrical tape- the adhesive isn't too powerful to get your mag gunky, or resist a frenzied relaod..:) but it is strong enough to resist spilling.

The hfc armalites are a little better than the SD3. Both are good, just decide if you want an SMG or a rifle. And the HFC mp5 is really great, I personally like it better than the UHC. It is definatley more accurate than the uhc, and it has a pump (shoey, you're wrong, I own them both and the HFC is more accurate, just has less range).

i like the hfc mp5 a lot more, i just bought one, it is awsome, and it performs better than all the sd3's i play against, everyone else has sd3's, the hfc i think would be better to get than the uhc, thats just my opinion.

You should try to contact Sgt Corbin he has both so you can try to get his opinion. But if you cant get ahold of him i have the mp5sd and I love it I have used the XM177 and i definatly like the mp5sd better but that is my opinion.

definitely the HFC XM177E2. It's more powerful, shoots farther, more accurate, mags don't spill bb's. Oh, and it actually looks like the gun it's trying to replicate. that's always a plus for me.

http://www.airsplat.com/P_120.htm <--- mags are 15 bucks there.

http://www.advantageairsoft.com/prod01.htm <--- the gun is only $80 there. it's usually up to 20 bucks more than the m-16's for some reason. that's the cheapest i've seen, but the mags are $20.

ShortyUSA has the same prices as advantage airsoft... I'm looking for the best deals. So far, airsplat's the best. their XM is $80, and their mags are $15. That's 5 bucks less than anywhere else listed so far. I haven't dealt with airsplat directly, but my friend did. he ordered an XM, a spare mag, 2 UHC berettas, a UHC MP5SD3, 4 bags of bb's, and 3 electric mini guns. It cost him like $40 for shipping, but he got a lot, so that's understandable. Also, he got everything just as he ordered, everything in tact. Some people say they had bad experiences with airsplat... I dunno.

I own both guns and i think there both good springers. the xm177 is a heavier larger gun, and the mp5sd is a small very light gun. i believe the xm177 is a little more powerful than the mp5 but but less accurate and if your not using high grade bbs (.20) they will shoot every direction but straight. the mp5 is accurate and very compact much easier to carry around than xm177. if your looking to save money go with the mp5 but if you like a large powerful gun go with the xm177.

I've had both these guns and i would get the xm177 because personally i've had some problems with my mp5. My mp5 kept jamming even though i lubed it and took care of it well. the xm is durable and acurate so get it

a few monthes ago i said to get the hfc mp5. don't get it. it is a great gun right out of the box, but after u have shot about 1500 bb's threw it then it starts to jam up like every 5 shots. then it starts to kam up every other shot. thats what mine did. the spring in mine actualy broke.

Corbin... it's not easier to carry around the MP5SD3 because you can't put a sling on it without modifying the gun. You can put a sling on the XM right out of the box. In fact, I think it even comes with one, but that could depend on the retailer.
